Bio
Hailing from the Sorantto Veldt--a small grasslands on the lower west coast of Azorna--Denali was born into a small pack. From a young age, it was clear Denali had a wandering spirit. When he grew old enough, Denali made the decision to head off on his own. His first few days by himself were fine enough, until he began to get cold feet about heading out of the Sorantto. He’d never been outside of the territory before. As a result, Denali decided to build his den within the grasslands that had been his home his whole life. After being settled for a year or two, he felt better about travelling outside of his familiar realm and out into the world. Now, Denali can be seen on the road, only returning back home after long journeys. His adventurous nature has earned him the title, “Denali the Wandering”.
After a few years of aimless wandering, Denali found himself lost. He was free, and making plenty of friends, but something about himself felt...wrong. He spent the following year soul-searching and came back with a mundane, yet surprising, answer: He was transgender.
The realization felt like a metaphoric homecoming, and Denali soon sought out magic that would help him become who he was always meant to be.
You will find old pieces of writing that refers to Denali by she/her. I have deliberately left this unchanged to fit the transition narrative.
I am transgender myself and see Denali as a psuedo-sona. He has transitioned with me.
Personality
Denali is an adventurous, young Kirunhound that loves to travel. So much so, he rarely returns home. However, when he does return to his den, he usually crashes there for weeks at a time. Denali is very friendly and is easy to make friends with. His small stature only lends a hand with his exploring, allowing him to get into places others can’t and to flee from enemies easier.
Den
Denali’s den is constructed from three large rocks stacked on each other to form a tent-like structure. The den sits on the upper right corner of the Sorantto Veldt’s grassland, near rich hunting grounds. Denali also grows herbs and other edible plants outside his den.
