Nan mostly wears the dark eye covering with their darker outfits, and only because Jewel says it makes looks good on them. It also covers their longer eyelashes, which they used to think were really feminine, and as a bonus, their scars as well. So they don't mind the eye covering, and in fact wear dark shades sometimes too. However, they'll go without it more often when they're alone with Jewel, and/or are feeling lazy.
Nan is usually very quiet, but when they do speak, their voice is heard. They're protective and kind, but also blunt, with miles of sarcasm between them and other people. Only Jewel gets their sweet side.
When it comes to fighting, they're deadly and precise. But their mercy is almost the most cruel thing about them. It wreaks more pain than death itself would bring.
Their eyes were scarred and blinded during experimentation, and the membrane of their wings were permanently destroyed with chemicals. Their horns were also cut down to mere nubs, only very rarely visible through their hair. They can't stand damaging other people like they have been damaged, so they rely on taking out vital spots to incapacitate enemies, preferring not to kill. This often leaves their victims with more pain than peace, in the end.
Nan can't fly, but they can use anti-gravity magic to float. Jewel's wings more than make up for the both of them too, in a pinch. As far as draemin go, Nan has excellent senses. They can identify people by smell very quickly, and tell who's coming from at least a mile away. All the better to keep themselves concealed, as far as Nan's concerned. However, if that smell has even a hint of sweetness to it, it's better to make their presence known, for fear of leaving Jewel alone.
Jewel has a sweet voice, as well. It's on the high end, but with a soothing richness to it, digging deep into Nan's bones and relaxing them. It's that sound that keep Nan going. It could only take the deep resonance of a Jewel to keep Nan listening.
