they can phase in and out of different dimensions, which also allows them to pass through solid objects. 

Not much is known of their core, since it exists in a different plane of existence. There's no limit on how far they can travel from Yui's body, but a sense of dread grows the longer she possesses them, which limits the time she's able to spend doing so.
