Yui's Vessels

Vessels are artificial bodies that don't have any active consciousness of their own, which Yui has the ability to possess. She achieves this through the use of special cores, though damaging or removing them severs her connection. This severance can also occur if the vessel moves too far away from her body, but it depends on how powerful the core in question is. Some have no trouble staying connected anywhere in the world, and would only become disconnected after being launched farther into space.

Yui creates 'characters' out of her vessels by giving them separate personalities/names/stories, and enjoys roleplaying as them during possession. Although she can possess multiples at a time, any more than three or for too long can become disorienting to the point of nausea, so she doesn't do it often.

Vessels come in different categories depending on what they're made of, and the abilities they have. One may also be a mix of these types. These include:
- Puppet: Plushie-like bodies made with soft materials such as fabric, faux fur, cotton, etc. For mobility, the usually have some sort of enchanted armature, like wire frames or ball-joints. They're especially good for cuddling.
- Mammet: Dolls, often made from hard materials like wood, clay, ceramics, etc. They're often ball-jointed and tend to have intricately crafted designs.
- Confection: Vessels with a partially or completely edible outer shell, covering what is usually some kind of magitech underneath. Use of these bodies are usually limited to special occasions since the shell must be eaten, or else it would go to waste.
- Homunculus: Synthetically created vessels with real flesh, blood, bone, etc. Although animal in appearance, the general process of creation is the same as normal human homunculoids, and genetic testing will result as being of human origin. These are the most useful at making Yui feel any semblance of normality thanks to the wide range of natural sensations they provide, so she tends to favor possessing these when she can. Although they have no will of their own, each body feels emotions and sensations uniquely, which can quickly become overstimulating. To help avoid this, memories from being within these bodies are suppressed into vagueness after possession, as if recalling a dream, but will return fully upon repossession.
- Mandrake: A type of body created by selectively crossbreeding mandrakes with other magical flora, so that they grow into shapes that Yui prefers. Possession of these offer completely unique experiences that often have peaceful and healing qualities, and are valuable for research purposes. They are very much alive and must be tended to as any plant would, even when not being actively possessed.
- Magitech: Previously non-living machines that served a purpose, animated so that they can be possessed.
- Hologram: An intangible 3D image projected by a small, hovering magitech device that can make itself invisible. Yui has the most freedom with this vessel type, since she can create new identities/characters without needing to possess or create a new physical form. On the other hand, they cannot physically interact with anything or vice versa, so real world sensations are greatly limited.

Any character listed here may have AUs where they're considered their own character, without any connection to Yui. Listing them as a vessel is in no way an indication of me not wanting them to be their own character or anything like that. It simply means that I wanted to connect them to my fursona because I really like them, some are nearly sonas in their own right and are only listed here as to not inflate my sona count too high.

With that said though, a character's presence here also doesn't necessarily mean they'll never be up for trade or resell, please stay mindful of my tags for that.
