Nixu was kidnapped at birth by a human which was the reason one of his horns was broken off. Luckily he was saved before he was taken into the human reality, though the event caused Nixu's family along with his den to become understandably overprotective of him. Because of this overprotectiveness, Nixu is not that good at making new friends or social interaction in general, Nixu keeping to the same group of people in his life. He hadn’t been able to develop the proper communication skills and the insecurity of his horns made him avoid people.

During his time at the dragon care centre, it was a rough time, seeing as the only ‘friends’ he had were his brother’s friends. When he was alone Nixu was bullied, the stares of the other dragons getting embedded into his mind, he hated it a lot. Eventually, he met his best friend Kazuya. After some very rough first impressions and a lot of waiting the two finally became friends now doing almost everything together, they grew up together and even are attending Sena together.

Nixu's interest in Sena grew when he found out about a genius science student and their work in regeneration and creation. That student happened to go to the prestigious Sena so Nixu also wanted to go as well. Nixu wasn't lucky enough nor talented enough to earn a letter himself so when Kazuya brought back two letters for the both of them, he was utterly delighted.

After some research about how to fix his broken horn, Nixu found out about Sena and the academic excellence of one of their science students who put a lot of their focus on regeneration and creation. Excited to learn more, Nixu looked up videos and more information about the science behind the regeneration and creation of atoms, excited to see if he could fix his own horn. Unfortunately Nixu lacked the knowledge, skills, or equipment to start this venture on his own, thus his conclusion was to go to Sena so he could meet this genius and figure out a way to fix his horn.

Unfortunately Sena was a hard school to get into and obtaining an admission ticket would be near impossible. Nixu thought of trying his luck at the coliseum but Kazuya brought up how weak Nixu was and how he'd die if he even tried. Nixu was saddened about the fact he couldn't go to Sena. Though what saddened Nixu more was the months that Kazuya just disappeared. So one faithful day when Nixu decided to visit Kazuya's den for the first time, he was surprised with an admission letter to Sena, two letters, one for both Nixu and Kazuya.

Nixu is a shadow dragon, a combination of a dark dragon and a light dragon. Out of the two types of dragons, Nixu is a manipulator, meaning that he was born with the affinity for controlling elemental energy over creating it.

Nixu doesn't use his shadow element a lot since he isn't really amazing at it but he does have some abilities he can use

Nixu has great agility and precision but has a lack of physical strength, he also has kinda poor combat sense which causes his various injuries

Into the Shadows : is the ability to move into, through and out of shadows, essentially melding into and out of any shadows present.

The ability is quite a powerful one but is also highly dangerous to the user, by trying to meld into the shadows the user must be able to coat their body with their elemental energy just slightly so that the absorption is possible. Make the outer layer too thin and you'll be completely engulfed by the shadows, never to be seen again. Make the other layer too thick and the constriction of the elemental energy around you can suffocate you and you can die. The sad thing about this ability is that by dying in the shadows, it's like you've never existed, no corpse, no blood, you're just gone.

Shadow Strike : a fairly easy ability to learn which involves surrounding your fist, legs or any other body part with a concentrated amount of elemental energy essentially strengthening your attack or defence.

The ability is one of the first all dragons learn since it can be done throughout all elemental types. While this ability can be learned by any dragon without the right control the enhancement will be incomplete.

Shadow Needles : is the creation of small needles made out of shadows, these needles are lightweight, easily dispersed, and very handy.

The ability is custom created by Nixu, he used the needles for more practical uses than anything. Nixu created the ability after some guidance from Kiyu and while Kiyu thought it'll be great in combination with Nixu's precision, Nixu's main use of the ability is to sew up stitches or to help with injections instead of the combat it was intended for.

Shadow Thread : the creation of a thread so thin and practically invisible but still sturdy and strong.

The ability was something Nixu developed in tandem to Nixu's shadow needles. Mainly developed because Nixu hated how regular thread created scars for when he had to sew up his own or other people wounds. Because of it Nixu created his own thread that is still efficient but also will leave no marks after. The ability also has combat uses which Nixu really doesn't utilise, the other science club members though, use the thread for their own personal purposes.
