Basically has that generic, high school female protagonist personality who isn't cool enough for the other kids to like her, ends up in trouble, and is afraid her parents are gonna kill her for it. Somewhat naive and cliche. She's friendly, yet has a really hard time making friends
She finds Attilio while she's exploring in the woods. He's caught by his feet and hanging upside down from a trap. He's also slightly restrained, as if the hunter found him, but wasn't prepared to move him yet. She cuts him down, tries to comfort him, and offers to watch his back on his way home, just in case. Somehow, through various languages, he's able to communicate that he no longer has one of those. Feeling pretty sorry for him, she then sneaks him into her parents' house while they're away. Of course, the charade is up very quickly, but she's able to make an arrangement where he can stay in Dieter's territory, as there are plenty of houses and shelters there. Attilio is not fully sure that he likes this idea and is intimidated by the huge trees and roaming criminals. To try and make him a little more at ease, Ash half lives, half hangs out in one of the smaller hidden houses there, a setup she ends up really liking (because she gets an entire house basically to herself).
They are but fools and were gallivanting around in the woods when Ash went into labor. There was no easy solution to this problem, so they kinda just had to have woods babies. They were tiny little things, so it was less of a problem, but Ash was still reasonably wiped out. Attilio carried her to Dax's place, babies in a backpack, to ask for help. Initially, Dax was convinced that the Harpy had knocked out his daughter, but the kids started to cry at the disturbance, saving Attilio from further scolding. Dax then had to go buy baby stuff because neither family actually...had anything
