Whether he's using his day job as an investigative journalist as a cover to pursue his true passion or he's openly persuading people to join his ghosthunting expeditions, there's no doubt that Cal just fucking loves the paranormal. Pleasantly cheerful though not necessarily friendly, Cal leaps fearlessly into any exciting new avenue of paranormal discovery and seems completely unfazed by even the most morbid of topics. He has great focus when it comes to things that interest him and not much else, and often seems rather spacey when he's not out chasing ghosts. Usually because he's thinking about chasing ghosts. He doesn't let laws or regulations or the safety needs of his crew get in the way of a discovery. He really does seem far more empathetic toward ghosts than he does toward actual people.
