Avalir used to actually be quite nice most of the time. He went out of his way to help others, and treated everybody with respect. Despite this, most others are frightened by him due to his appearance and the fact that the demonic corruption inside of him could trigger at any point.
When his demonic corruption takes over, his horns grow and both of his eyes become black. In this form, he is at the mercy of his demonic host and acts upon it's will. Whether it be stealing, killing, or torturing, Avalir does it all when under this influence.
The neglect from others and trauma of his actions have driven him to become cold, stoic, and lonesome. He is most always by himself, rumored to be cursed to travel alone because of his corruption. In reality, he is simply afraid of himself and what he might to do anyone who gets too close to him for too long.

- He hates himself for what he has become, even if it wasn't his fault.

Narya [ girlfriend ]
Narya is the only one that Avalir can allow himself to be around. Her pyrokinetic abilities are able to keep him at bay if he tries to arm her while under the influence of his corruption. He admires her tenacity and stubborness. Although he might not show it on the outside too much, he cares deeply for her and would not allow any harm to befall her. Even though he knows she can take of herself, he is protective of her and even has been able to resist the demon's wish to harm her a few times.
