- A masterful demon of illusion. Mastema disguises himself as a weaker demon in order to lure newly training demon hunters into his realities completely made up by himself. In this realities there is no difference between what is real and fake, and the only way out is to get through all of his trials.
- Mastema has made many deals with lesser demons to serve him. In return they get realms beyond their wildest desires, waiting to be called upon by Mastema for their half of the bargain.
- Mastema loves playing the Koto. It is one of the few things that truly puts him at peace.
- His favorite reality is his iridescent one. There, no creatures lie, and there is little to no sound hearable besides your own voice. Everything shimmers ididescently, and if demon hunters make it far enough through his realms, this is where he usually chooses to get to know them more personably.
- In Mastema's eyes, the lotus is a symbol of him escaping his weak former self who was targeted by an oppressive and abusive lifestyle as a prince, and growing into a stronger, wiser demon. Somethingt that starts off unseenly, and grows into something beautiful, like the lotus.

But after his death, his hatred for his treatment while alive led him to become the demon he is today. Due to his previous restrictions in life, Mastema tends to live in his false realities, with imagination far beyond an average persons. Mastema has an ability to create false realities. The environments are as real as they seem, but with the twist that Mastema can twist and change them at any time. He usually begins the entry into his dimension by slowly bending the affecteds mind to think they are simply walking into a stranger and stranger forest. Demons can inhabit these worlds as well as Mastema can create smaller, lesser demons.
Dual Wielding
Mastema wields two katanas, ones he was trained to use since a very young age. When his manipulation fails him, he fights with his swords. He also finds wielding the swords as a way to find peace, through the art of posing and technique.
Koto
Mastema's favorite instrument, and one he frequently plays.

One of the closest people to Mastema as well as one of the few left from his original life time that still serves him. Isshinji was always loyal to him and treated him like a human being, and because of this when Mastema sent his court into his false realities, Isshinji was given demonic abilities and a realm on his own making.
