Appearance

Lyrit is a Vincaelos, meaning he is a tall (7’6”) masked humanoid with velvet fur, elongated limbs, a tail and horns. Under his mask he looks like a cow with a short snout and rounded ears which are pierced. He has four eyes, two on each side, with yellow sclera and red pupils. He has two orange horns on the top of his head, which are tipped gold, and one on each side of his face. Hisfur is mainly red with mottled splotches of lighter and darker red. On his neck, shoulders, torso, and elbows, he has dull orange bony protrusions. In the middle of his chest, he has a triangular bony protrusion. His paws have long dull oranges claws and their feet have dull orange hooves. His tail is short and cow-like, with a brilliant red tuft of fur at the end and three dull orange spines on the underside.

His mask has two leaf shapes around their eyes which have black outlines on the top and white outlines at the bottom. It is colored purple and lavender in quadrants, with purple in the top right and bottom left and lavender in the top left and bottom right. There is a magenta diamond painted in the middle of it. At the top of there mask is a circle ornamented, colored like a crescent moon in silver and black.

Personality

Lyrit likes to style himself as a chaotic person and its not like he’s making it up. He often has a unique way of thinking, even among his own kind. The ways he solves problems are weird and often a little worrying. His mischievous nature doesn’t help matters and he likes to play pranks, as long as they are good-natured ones. While plenty of people are endeared by these, some are annoyed, something that saddens him. He just wants to have fun! He likes to see the best in people and is very forgiving. He really values those he cares about and often goes to great lengths for them. He’s very creative, as shown by his determination to be a storyteller rather than a archivist.

History

When Lyrit was young and recommended to be an archivist, he indeed tried it and found it boring. From there, he went to test the various technologies of the Vincaelos and found that more his speed….but yet, something was missing. The stories he had read as archivist were always intriguing and he found the stories of other cultures were those he liked best. He decided that’s what he wanted to do: create new stories. And with that he set off, hopping planets and using the magitech of his people to entertain.

His audiences were varied: some delighted in the ability to act out stories using his pocket dimension device but others were disturbed and frightened. While he was disappointed, he never pressed, instead urging on. He eventually made his way to Earth, befriending a group of Earthlings who were intrigued by his technology and the stories he could weave with it.

Rumors of an alien crash near Roswell made him intrigued, wondering if perhaps another of his people had landed there. He’d put a pin in it for later.

Skills

Lyrit is very creative, able to make stories on the fly. As the result, he is also a good liar though he dislikes the idea of lying.

He is a master of the pocket dimension device his people made. It was originally used to reenact historical tales but he uses it to make up wholly fictional stories.

Trivia

• He chose the name "Lyrit" after one of his Earth friends noticed his true name's similarity to music and suggested "Lyric". But he misheard them and goes by "Lyrit". His true name sounds like a heavy metal guitar riff.
• He's a specific mutation called the "Diurnal" mutation. As a result, he is more awake during the day and isn't bothered by heat like his fellow Vincaelos. He often runs very warm.
• His claws are retractable.
• One of his Earth friends showed him Minecraft which he is more than delighted about.
