Summary
♫ Calm, modest, sensible ♫
A bassist, a dreamer, and a musical engineering whiz.
Appearance
John is a relatively moderate-looking young man. He has short mousy-brown hair, deep blue eyes, and a long nose. He usually has a small smile atop his square jaw. He always wears glasses- without them he is so shortsighted that he wouldn't be able to see anything but a blur. He is of a normal weight for a man his age. He tends to wear unassuming clothing, with his usual get-up being a mustard sweater over a dress shirt, dark dress trousers, and dark Oxfords. Unlike his bandmates, he doesn't care too much for mod fashion, aside from wearing suits. He is 5'6".
Personality
John is a quiet, collected young man with a healthy love of the natural world. He is very melancholic, and finds a lot of meaning in emotions and thinking; he is also the kind of man who gets very easily invested in things that interest him. He loves discovering new things- producing techniques, new instruments- anything that can be tinkered with and expanded. He cries quite easily- especially when struck by emotional music. He is very down-to-earth and is always happy to be the rational/sensible one when his bandmates or friends become paranoid. A little on the shy side, John does open up to others when he feels comfortable and happy. He can easily be considered a sweet person, but he can often be a little distant without intending to be.

Story
John's story takes place in the mid-60's in London. It's the Swinging 60's, and John is a nationwide star, both anxious and excited about the possibility of extending his music to the world.
John was born in Hendon, a civil parish in Northern London to a middle class family on September 14th, 1940. His father was a schoolteacher, and his mother was a home-keeper. He has two siblings and is the eldest of them; his younger brother, Richard, was born in 1942, and his youngest sister, Carol Ann, was born in 1943. The family only saw their father in the evenings after his work day ended, but despite this, they all had a close relationship and enjoyed doing things altogether. All five members of the family were generally average and quiet, not feeling any need to stand out from the crowd or draw attention to themselves.

Relationships
Mick Allen
John was introduced to him through Brian, after Brian insisted John meet his best friend and singer. John isn't extremely close with Mick, but thinks that his optimism and passion for music is a wonderful thing. He appreciates that Mick isn't too over-the-top, despite being a lover of attention.
Brian Waltham
John got to know him through playing at a club, where Brian would visit and often share similar tastes with. The two bonded quickly over their love of jazz and classical music, and John knows that Brian has a healthy knowledge of music. John would consider Brian his truest friend outside of the band, and maintains a stable relationship with him. Sometimes, John can get a little overwhelmed by the way Brian can act, especially when it comes to his snappiness.
Pete Dalston
John enjoys playing with his younger bandmate, and appreciates the amount of effort and skill he puts into his drumming. John is the most likely out of the band to help Pete when he's having trouble, and the two have often had rhythm sessions one-on-one so that John can teach Pete more skills.
Evie Taylor
John loves Evie's voice, and enjoys hearing her sing. He's quiet around her- he almost doesn't want to make her feel too pressured since he often sees Mick spending a lot of time with her. He's fond of her bubbly personality, and is always impressed by her lack of fear when trying new things.
Tommy Lovage
John greatly enjoys Tommy's skills on the keyboard, and is always impressed by the music and notes that he knows. The two used to play together in little bands here and there before John joined the Worthies, and John sometimes even wishes Tommy could play a bigger role in the band- because he always thinks he deserves more credit. However, John can easily tire of Tommy's attitude towards his bandmates, and doesn't appreciate the superiority complex he has.
Trivia
- His style of bass playing would be comparable to John Entwhistle (the Who), John Deacon (Queen), or John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin) [and yes, John's name is entirely a coincidence I swear! lol]. He is methodical, very rhythmical, and uses a lot of jazz/blues influence. He plays a Sunburst 1965 Vox Mark IV (teardrop) bass.
- He rarely smokes, even on his own time. He will criticize Mick and Brian for smoking in front of Pete.
- His zodiac sign is Virgo, and his lunar zodiac sign is Metal Dragon.
- His faceclaim is (x), and his voiceclaim is (x). (He would have a middle-class London accent, with a calm, quiet, deep-ish voice).
