Ralph

• Mouth is always shaped like an upside down "v". When he smiles, his mouth looks like a thin "w".
• Wears gothic/Victorian clothing casually, but will dress more professionally at work, usually in his surgeon uniform and hair tied back to a small ponytail.
• Has bite marks on the right side of his neck (left in our perspective)
• Eyes turn red right before he bites his prey.

Ralph is never a vampire to be trusted, and that's not because someone makes the mistake of inviting him in their house. He puts on a facade as an individualistic, but fatherly gentleman. He doesn't go out of his way to initiate conversation until spoken to or when required to. Nonetheless, his speech is poise and polite. He takes others' expressions as seriously as he could in order to offer support or advise them on resolving any problems they're troubled with. Ralph is slow to anger, and if he does seem upset, it would only be expressed in a mild manner. His lack of facial expressions may otherwise call him intimidating. He does not waste energy faking smiles when uneeded nor lose his temper under trivial inconveniences. Anything that doesn't go according to plan, Ralph pushes emotions aside and focuses on resolving issues as efficiently as possible. Logic, knowledge, and analytical thinking is how he solves problems and saves time while doing so. He is not swayed by emotionally manipulative tactics like guilt-tripping or submitting into peer-pressure. This makes him rather excellent in both solo and teamwork activities, making him a reliable leader as well as a self-motivator.

Do not let this halo effect take away from the fact that Ralph is a devilish hypocrite. He will talk others into siding with him, convincing himself to be trustworthy and being on their good side. He will justify his actions for good intentions or for someone else's best interests when he really does them for personal gain or out of his own entertainment. Ralph enjoys being an inconvenience to others and being the cause of their stress. It makes him feel in power. He gains pleasure in demeaning others, gaslighting them, destroying self-confidence, feeding lies, and digging deep into their wounds for any fears and insecurities they hide from him. In more extreme cases, Ralph will make a final course out of his victims. He leaves nothing but their hearts behind. He keeps them in jars to be preserved for later consumption or as personal trophies. Pain and fear are his tools for people to learn from, and Ralph will use them to his advantage and entertain himself. He holds little to no empathy to those he harms physically and verbally.

Ralph's mother Lottie was rushed to a hospital, pregnant at 15 years of age. She had been kicked out of the family and stayed at her boyfriend's place. They broke up on Christmas Eve when he and his family grew tired of taking care of a baby that didn't belong to their family. She was kicked out of the house that night with her belongings and little Ralph. If her family and those she cared about are going to turn her away because of her son, Lottie grew more selfish over her actions and thought of trying to care for him herself. She went to the oakwood forest to transport to Detrotsid, where she made and sold potions to provide for herself and her son. She met another man at 18 and got married just 8 months later. His name was Cassius. He studied medicine and grew up to be one of the realm's most well-known and wealthiest surgeons. Ralph was 3 years old when he and Lottie were bitten and became vampires. It was the law in Detrotsid for no humans to reside or to be bewedded by a monster unless they become a monster themselves.

The Báthorys are known to be a snobbish and narcissistic family of vampires. They were discriminatory towards anyone that's not their kind or are of lower financial status. Nobody liked them personally, but they were the best at what they do. That is what Ralph grew up doing. He traced his parents' footsteps to become a surgeon. After all, any organs that had salvagable blood stored in the extracted flesh of patients are snuck home to dine on later. The organs were also smuggled as sacrifices to the dark gods they believe in, hoping to awaken them one day. Ralph hopped onto the same boat when his mother told him of the gemstone engraved on his uncle Yuji's amulet. It once belonged to a powerful demon god in which the gemstone sealed his soul to prevent it from possessing other bodies to cause chaos with. A member of the Gushiken family those many years ago was said to have been responsible for putting the demon to rest. It is up to whoever can extract the gemstone to wake him up and get him back on the throne that is Oakwood Hollows today. Ralph didn't become a doctor for the right reasons.

He kept a good eye on that amulet while he kept up with his studies in the medical field. A patient came in one day with heart failure. Her name was Matilda, a black widow humanoid. A VSD (Ventricular Septal Defect) was located in her heart. Her family had a history of high blood pressure, involved in alcohol abuse, and all of her legs were swollen. Her heart was in an unhealthy state to provide oxygen-rich blood to her body, so Ralph and his team performed surgery to close the hole and make the heart process the blood normally. He checked up on Matilda after she woke up. In her eyes, it was love at first sight. He quickly noticed her kittenish behavior around him during her recovery. Even after she left the hospital, Matilda went out of her way to send letters and schedule times to talk to him in person. She saught for the gemstone as well. Her ancestors had ties with humans in the past of ruling the world together, to wipe away the discriminations humans had with spiders overall. She and other spider hybrids cannot trust them anymore. They were always decietful with their plans to make Oakwood Hollows a better place not for them, but for the humans. They were constantly backstabbed, and in return, resulted in war. The demon had helped her kind win. The two eventually got married and raised two healthy daughters.

While she balanced life at the house as a stay-home mother, she helped Ralph demise a plan, along with his parents, to get a hold of the gemstone. According to Cassius, Yuji's son, Yasha, will soon be next to get a hold of the amulet. They have to act quick before god knows what the naive boy would do with it. While he hasn't interacted with the Gushikens in a long time, Ralph informed his parents of where they currently lived and invite them over to dinner without the children. With Lottie to lead her sister Clementine to her house and Cassius "occupying" Yuji, he seeked out Yasha for the amulet, cloaking himself in the shadows, and get a hold of the amulet. Matilda assisted Cassius to trapping Yuji in her webs, wrapping his body in silk, and taking him home for the family to feast on later.

Meanwhile, while everything was coming to play, Ralph made his way to the Gushiken's house. Hiding in the shadows, he made out the sounds of two girls sobbing. He peeked out to find Clementine on the floor with her daughter, Tsukiko, in a protective embrace. There was no sign of Yasha anywhere. He looked in every room of the house without leaving any trace of his presence. It was not until afterwards that he showed himself in front of the girls. Clementine didn't buy in his sympathy and scolded him to leave the house after being asked of Yasha's whereabouts. Tsukiko on the other hand, had hoped Ralph could help find Yasha for them, which he said he would. That was all the chit chat that he could make before Clementine chased him off by throwing garlic at him. He didn't exactly keep the promise, but the search for the amulet remains in the back of his mind.

Ralph retreated back to his house before the sun rose. His little baby girl, Gumo, was wailing from upstairs. Her muffled cries came from the attic inside a chest, where someone must have hidden her there for who knows how long. Ralph quickly held the baby in a protective embrace as he called for his wife and his eldest daughter Monica. Nobody responded back to him. During his search, he was led into the basement by a blood trail to find two bodies slumped by each other. Yuji's, and Matilda's. Right then and there, Ralph shuts his true emotions from everyone else and sought refugee in brewing distrust upon others. It set him back from his goal for a long time, but twisting the minds of others helped numb down that emotional pain Ralph didn't want to feel anymore. He spent less time with his daughter once she was old enough to be sent to public school and more time on work to further occupy his mind. His focus now is to avenge for his lost love and his missing daughter. He will one day reawaken the beast and claim the whole city of Oakwood Hollows as his to reign supreme. No one else deserves to live their lives merrily. Like the phrase "bringing Heaven on Earth", hell will rise and engulf the city under eternal suffering.
