Wisu, the Sandkeeper

Minding a great hourglass in the depths of a temple, they refer to theirself as a guardian, keeper of the Grand Requiot, which controls the very flow of time, or so the old tales say. Their mind in tune with the winds and rock, the sands sing at their command, whipping up storms to deflect those who might defile the temple, or worse, set designs on the Requiot itself, and the power it holds.

Alone they sleep on the sandy stone floors, but are content in their solitude, as the warmth of the Requiot's love, felt in a way that few others could, brings them all the comfort they need. Though they are bound there, they wear no shackles, and do not consider themself a prisoner. If someone were ever to join them in their devotion, they would be wary to accept them. But, the sands don't lie. If one could withstand the test, then one might take place at their side, but failing could cost you more than your life.

Even time needs its sustenance.
