Alfeid｜アル・フェイド

A tale of mystery, magic, and science. Alfeid, a city surrounded by a dense and swirling desert, is home to many eccentric sorts: artisans, researchers, zealots, and beyond. However, the industry that drives it is the pursuit of knowledge, and in searching that that knowledge, its citizens look upward, to the night sky. Astronomy, the study of the stars, lies at the focus of Alfeid's scholars' work, and much of daily life in the city has been built around that. Night markets abound, and great observation towers spiral upward into the sky. In dusky ateliers, people of many races make furtive calculations, and scraps of parchment are traded like gold.

However, there are others who hold great disdain for this worship of the night. The Temple of the Sun serves an unpopular doctrine, leading services from a stone temple on the outskirts, beyond the city walls. Further, there are misfits, who find themselves unsuited to either camp, lost for purpose. And, beyond that, strange and unseen creatures dwell amongst the dunes...
