He was nobility at one point. His father had a part in the beloved princess’ assassination without his or his mother’s knoweldge, so when guards flowed into the family’s manor to arrest his father, he strongly denied the accusations. When the guards pushed through and he was still yelling at them to get out, they decided to cut his tongue. His father was executed later, and he was to serve the royal family to amend for his father´s treason for the rest of his life. This task turned into helping the protag. He carries the protag stuff mostly lmao, he can talk but there are sounds he can't reproduce & shizz so he likes to stay quiet when he can
