Profile

Spire is a young, aristocratic Icewing with a smaller than average stature, but not too much to affect his daily life. He has blue wings and greenish blue under wings. With his most striking feature being his light purple horns, and slightly green under wings with small silver speckles draped across them. He has blue wings and greenish-blue under wings with silver speckles draped across them. Most strikingly, his horns and ruff are a light purple. He also always carries a satchel full of basic tools and some scientific instruments in case he ever finds something interesting while exploring, a trait that he picked up from his father. As well as that, has always has his silver Skyfire bracelet on and sometimes his First Circle necklace, depending on where he is and what he's doing.

Pre-Hatching> Icecap was born in the Palace, to an important aristocratic family, and was destined for the Palace life almost immediately. After she left Jade Mountain, she flew back to the Kingdom She loved working with all the important dragons in the Kingdom, and she quickly became a secretary for an important General in the army. After working up the ranks for several years, Icecap was a close advisor to the Queen. All though she had settled in the Second Circle, Ice had become a trusted associate to Ptarmigan, almost even a friend. Polar was a scientist for many years, but born into a low peasant family, but he had worked his way up the ranks over the years. In his early life he scrounged around for work a lot, and never really found a career. But that all changed after he picked up a job as an assistant biologist, and he absolutely fell in love with it. Polar had then become an apprentice to a major scientist in the Kingdom, and worked his way up from there, doing lots of contracting work for the Icewing government, studying anatomy and many other areas of science as well. Due to his work, but counteracted his low backround, he was sitting happily in the Third Circle. Polar had first met Icecap while giving a scientific report to Queen Ptarmigan about a certain type of poison and its possible beneficial effects. They had gotten along with each other well before and during the meeting, and soon after they were a very close couple. And a few months after they had married, they had Spire.

Baby Dragonet> Spire was hatched into the Third circle of the Ice Kingdom, with his name being inspired by the tall towers of the ice palace that his parents lived in. His early life was relatively uneventful, bereft turmoil or struggle due to his parents being lower level aristocrats working with the Queen. He had grown up in wealthy and comfortable circumstances, with nearly no problems with food or housing. Of course he did have the difficult and competitive ranking competition, but Spire did pretty well with it, always staying above average. He had no siblings or close friends or family, besides his parents who spent a lot of time with him when he was very young. As a result of that, he developed a love for reading and studying the history and geography of Pyrrhia and Pantala in his spare time, as well as warfare and science. As Spire grew up he bonded with his father, who would take him out of the Ice Palace on small trips to the outer edges of the Ice Kingdom to study nature and see all the things he read in his scrolls.

Dragonet > Once He was old enough, Spire was enrolled in the Royal Military Academy, a prestigious school that specializes in train officers for the Icewing military, and it was exclusively for dragons who were Third Circle and higher. The school had many subjects such as battle tactics, weapons training, and leadership practices, while still having many subjects of a normal school. Spire enjoyed many of his experiences at the Academy, where he loved learning military history and warfare. Even though he didn’t particularly enjoy the physical fighting portion of it. Despite that, he still did well in most of his classes. By the time he had graduated, he was approaching the top of his class, and earning the rank of First Lieutenant. After this, he continued to serve in the military while getting more of an education, bring him up to a Lieutenant Colonel. Due to his hard work, and his great knowledge from exploring and reading, as he reached his seventh hatching day Spire managed to get in to the very high Second Circle. He also never really had any friends or personal connections in his childhood, and was often teased and severely bullied by some of the other dragons at home and in the Academy. In one particularly bad instance, another group of dragonets blocked him under a sheet of ice, shoving him into a hole used for ice fishing, and trapping him under it. It was only due to Spire just barely managing to swim to another fishing hole that he didn't drown. This instance lead to his permanent weariness of swimming and large bodies of water. Being a stoic Icewing of course, Spire never reported any of those instances to his parents, instructors, or anyone else. Instead, he focused on studying, learning and trying to get into the Jade Mountain Academy, which he had dreamed of joining since he had heard of it as a baby dragonet.
Once he was the eligible age, Spire was welcomed into the prestigious Academy, with a recommendation from the Queen. He was also helped a reasonable amount due to coincidentally both his mother and his father knowing and being friends with professors and other higher ups in the school. In the Jade mountain academy, Spire did very well. He had loved and nearly mastered science and all history classes already, and did especially well in those classes. Also luckily for him, his background seemed to make him more intimidating, and the teasing stopped. Helping that, he had grown to view bullying as utterly intolerable, and he'd protect any dragon that he saw being bullied or teased, leading to him getting a very good reputation among the school, and unknowingly, caught the eyes of the Alliance. He still remained relatively introverted though. In others, he had already knew a lot of the material from his previous reading, and he did well in most of his other classes.

Young Adult > Later in his school years, Spire was starting to develop some friendships and becoming close with a lot of the local teachers at the academy, especially the librarian, with whom he’d had long conversations with about literature. By his last few years at the academy, Spire was still indecisive on what he wanted to do, up until he met a visiting dragon from the Alliance. This was Spire’s first direct interaction with them, and he was fascinated by their organization. Luckily, the visiting Alliance dragon saw him as a new potential member, first catching his eye by hearing stories from many teachers about his intelligence and willingness to protect others. Those stories combined together with another letter of recommendation from Queen Ptarmigan, got him into the Alliance. He was chosen to join the Order of Illumination by the Orb of Unity, and was trained under the skillful dragon Neva for some time, despite her plans to retire from her position as a member earlier. He is now ready to start his career as a full alliance member, in the Order of Illumination.
