The Mother

The Mother is a demon residing in a small section of the Hell realm in between a pair of hazy/misty mountain cliffs.

The Mother speaks in an eerie, soft and slow tone. Drawing out syllables and emphasizing parts of words, there is a strength to her quiet voice that sends shivers down the spine.

She is a large, looming creature. Her movements are slow and fluid, with the ability to be incredibly fast if she wants to chase down her prey.

She captures prey in her rib cage, and then dropping them into an incredibly deep pit. at the bottom of the pit is a cavern hut, with a few open holes in the ceiling, she peers through or can enter through here, though she doesn't fit fully inside.

She refers to her prey as her 'children', and they call her "Mother", and she merely observes her 'children' from above while they reside in the pit hut.

While in the pit, the souls captured by 'The Mother', will be forced to refer to one another as 'olderbrother/youngersister/etc.' (when the mother is present anyway). There can be up to three or four captured souls in the pit at a time.

Occasionally, The Mother will tell them it's 'time for dinner' and will proceed to feed on their soul energy, which can be quite a painful experience and is not something anyone looks forward to, though food IS provided afterwords, for their good behavior (but the food isn't very good since it's the broken soulless corpses of The Mother's past prey).

The Mother looks for prey that have strong soul energy, so the food source will last her a while before the soul inevitably breaks under the constant strain.

Escape is more or less impossible, with the height of the pit, the speed in which the Mother can chase down her prey also being a deterrent to those wishing to run, and not to mention the raw strength she contains in her bones as well. It is her soul sucking ability that prevents anyone from truly leaving the pit once they're in, because the experience is so draining, they have no strength to climb the height of the pit walls and can merely wander around the hut and the small clearing at the bottom, until the end finally claims them.
