Personality

Sassy and sarcastic just about sum Rosie up pretty well. She's confident, charismatic, and likes to stir things up when she can. Bit of a wanderer, she doesn't feel comfortable staying in one place for too long. She also doesn't become overly attached to people very easily. Nearly everyone in her life she considers basically an "acquaintance" and has very few she calls actual friends. However, she has such an enigmatic personality, she tends to get along with just about anyone and everyone, on some level. Whether or not she really likes someone isn't always clear, as she has a tendency to just treat everyone the same regardless of her opinion of them.

Appearance

She has an Akhal-Teke conformation but with the long ears of a mule, and a "unicorn" style tail (long a whip-like, with a long tuft of silky pink hair). She has no mane, and was born with no right eye, so she wears a black eye-patch with a cactus rose embroidered onto it. Every now and then she'll flip the patch up to startled foals, for fun. There's a dent where the eye should be, but skin and fur cover the hole, so it's not like an empty socket. It's just off-putting. She has one ice blue eye, a dull-colored sandy coat with blue-ish silver dappling across her shoulders, back and hindquarters. We think she's some variation of a silver buckskin. She has tattoos of cactus leaves and flowers across her shoulders and hindquarters. Rosie also wears a crown made from cactus leaves and roses, succulents, and long acacia thorns. She can also have a pair of very large wings, spanning roughly 18 feet from tip to tip. They fade from the silvery blue color to the green of her cactus markings. No one has any idea where her wings come from or where they go. You can be looking right at her, no wings, look down for a second and by the time you look back... BAM. Wings.

History

We're not entirely sure where Rosie comes from. She's a child of the Wind and Desert, and the story goes that when she was discovered as a foal, she just tumbled out of a rolling sandstorm, already running and kicking. Some local ranch folk tried to take her in, but she was already extremely independent and made life pretty difficult for them. She's been wandering the deserts since she was a yearling, and doesn't seem to mind being on her own. If you ask here where she came from, she'll likely have a different answer for you every time. The theory is that, while still very young, she was just separated from her family in a sandstorm. Rosie discredits this theory.
