This salty sea dog has two loves of his life; treasure and his pet snake (Calypso). He enjoys the rocking of his boat against the waves and prefers it to the solid structure that is the main land. Salazar rarely makes it to Basenji Island, but when he does he comes bearing many gifts! He's quite possibly the only pirate to give away his treasure to those less fortunate. The Robin Hood of pirates, perhaps? He gives most of his findings to a young basenji named Ananas. He loves that she stocks Hawaiian Mountain Apples at her fruit cart (such a hard find, but she manages!). He pays a hefty price for that delicacy!
Salazar commands his ship with only one other crew member, Bucket. His other crew long abandoned him after they grew tired of his charitable ways. Thankfully his boat is small and they can commander fine; pointing it straight into the narrow cliffs that happen to have all that beautiful treasure hidden away! Along with Bucket, Salazar currently employs five boas to help maintain his ship. His best friend however is Calypso, and she deems herself too good to do anything except steer the ship sometimes and spend Salazar's money at Ananas' cart. She suspects Bucket of being a pit pocket who steals back Sal's charitable givings. But she has no way to tell Salazar about it.Likes

Salazar found this beautiful Basenji's smoothie stand by accident when he ran out of food and needed to eat the first thing he could find. Now Salazar cannot stay away, doing anything he can to catch Ananas' eye!

While Salazar will tell you he doesn't hate anyone, there's a rather dark twinge that hits him when this scruffy dude shows up at Ananas' smoothie stand. How dare this other...pirate dude make this pretty lady laugh! Fuck him!
