A rather longlived leader, Ratstar. She has a lazy eye, is missing a leg entirely, and is somehow still managing to keep going after what seems like an eternity of being her clan's leader. Many of her clanmates joke that she won't die, and many aren't even sure what life she is on anymore. She never had any kits, and she has long since outlived her mate, Softstep, who'd died protecting her apprentice from a badger. Most if not all the cats that had saw her become leader are now gone, and the new kits have never had another leader other than her. She takes her position happily, and it doesn't seem that her old age has caught up to her spirit. Even when she manages to get sick she's working as hard as every other cat even if that's not what's best for her health. Ratstar tends to take an optimistic attitude but she's been known to suffer from depressive bouts. She's a kind and hardworking leader, but part of her wishes she hadn't lived long enough to see everyone she'd loved pass away without her.
