Ichijou Tsubaki (一条つばき) is one of the main characters of Charm Mage Pretty Cure!. Tsubaki's alter ego is Cure Willow (キュアウィロー) and she is known as the Pretty Cure of the earth. BioAppearance As a civilian, Tsubaki has dark green hair she wears in two low ponytails. She has yellow eyes. She wears a deep green sweater and a long yellow pleated skirt. As Cure Willow, she has light green hair with two braids in the front, and a bun connected to a long ponytail in the back. She a ribbon tied to the back of her bun. Her outfit consists of a sailor-esque top with her Cure Charm as the brooch and a high-waisted layered skirt. Her skirt has a longer back than the rest of the girls. She has ankle-length boots and long sleeves. She wears her Charm Watch on her left wrist. Personality Tsubaki is distant, but very caring. She doesn't want to let herself get close to the others, but can't help but protect them. In a way, she sees herself as doing a service to them by staying solo. She is a very hard worker. Relationships Oozora Mitsuko- Tsubaki may act like she sees her as nothing by an annoyance, but deep down she is starting to grow attached to her. Minato Morgaine- They both have a pseudo-rivalry going on ever since their first encounter. Tsubaki at first acts coldly towards her, but eventually starts teasing her and Mitsuko. Etymology Ichijou (一条) means first street Tsubaki (つばき) means camellia HistoryBefore the portal Tsubaki is the middle child of a prestigious family, with two younger siblings and two older siblings. Her elementary school aged siblings adore her and treat her as a role model, while her older siblings treat her like she is still the same age as the younger siblings. She constantly works hard to be as good as her older siblings, but everybody treats her like she's lesser and her parents don't pay as much attention to her as they do her other siblings. She became rather closed off because of this. The stress of this can get to her, so she will often relax through gardening. After one very stressful day, she sneaked out at night to check out her garden, but saw a bright light coming from behind it. She wandered into it and woke up in the Charm World. Since arriving in Charm World When she awoke, Tsubaki found herself in a small room on top of many small pillows. A squirrel named Lily was in there, as she was told to watch her. Tsubaki was instantly freaked out and Lily struggled to calm her. A few more squirrels came in and that's when Tsubaki started to realize she wasn't having a dream. The squirrels explained they found her just outside the village, and that the entire village came together to help take her to safety. They began to explain to her that there was an evil army trying to take over the land, so it was best for her to stay inside of the village, which was located inside of a massive tree. They also all knew she must be there for a reason, so they entrusted her with the village's Forest Charm. She eventually got her Charm Watch after the village was attacked. Once she became Cure Willow, the village felt safe letting her go out. Lily became her sole traveling companion. She would venture out each day in search of a way home. She eventually came across Morgaine. She wanted to work with her, but Tsubaki declined. She just felt having people help her would hold her back. Really, this was just her fear of getting close to others. She now deals with the other PreCure often, but has yet to officially join them. It often seems like she has a rivalry with them when it comes to protecting the Charm World. Cure Willow"The healing aura of the land! Cure Willow!" Cure Willow(キュアウィロー) is the Pretty Cure alter ego of Tsibaki. She activates her powers with the Charm Watch and the Cure Charms. Her basic charm is the Forest Charm. Transformation "Forest Charm! Pretty Cure, Charm Shift!" By scanning her charm on the Charm Watch, Tsubaki can transform. She can also access alternate forms by using different charms, such as the legendary Holy Charm.
