Surana
Known as Warden-Commander Surana as no one knows his real first name, not even he himself knows. As he was brought into the Circle Tower as a baby, he has no memories of his origins and was left there without any other information than possible family name “Surana”.
He survived Fifth Blight and went to rebuild Circle Tower anew before his presence was requested to come to Vigil’s Keep.
Few years after the events of ‘Awakening’, he was determined to head north, wanting to find his love interest, Zevran Arainai, when he suddenly had stopped sending letters for Surana to know of his whereabouts.
During his travels, he decided to take on a new research and find the cure to Taint and Calling, wishing to extend his life expectancy and to finally leave Grey Wardens to his past.
Although wanting to leave Grey Wardens, he still carries his armor with him everywhere. Mostly only to show he’s no mere elf and he’s not to be messed with.
His armor is in no good condition and he’s modified it a lot to be of his taste.

Personality
Not very confident in himself nor his skills, even if he’s recognized for his fast learning and abilities when he lived in the Circle Tower, he has no trust for himself.
Though he openly dislikes being belittled in the eyes of humans and other elves outside of Tower, he deeply believes it as the truth.
After Jowan’s betrayal and escape, he was crushed for the loss of his only friends, trust for them staggering a bit, for losing the only place he could call home and for being forced to become a Grey Warden against his will.
Forced to find his place in this cruel world of distrust, when he himself wants to trust in the good in all people.
Notes
- Carries a bear pelt on his right shoulder, modified the Grey Warden emblem to be on his left shoulder and carries a Grey Warden chest plate unlike most Warden Mages.
His armor is mostly designed after DA:I Warden Battlemage Armor, but some elements are borrowed from DA2 Regalia of Weisshaupt set. - Carries the earring, given by Zevran, attached to a necklace around his neck under the armor. Not really wanting to pierce his ear for it, just in case it’d get lost or it’d get ripped off.
- His favourite shapeshifting subjects are bears, wyverns and bats by night, sparrows by day.
- He can’t swim thanks to Anders’ great (failed) escape plan, when Surana was still a small child, to swim through Lake Calenhad, which caused all mages in Circle Tower to not be allowed to swim ever again.
- He treasures and carries a small old and ragged dog plushie as the only memento of his “childhood” everywhere with his belongings.

- Surana is part of “Multiverse World State” with multiple PC Grey Wardens, Hawkes and Inquisitors from other origins.
He’s capable of being written and imagined as the only one and with other player’s Wardens too though.
I try to write his profile as neutrally as possible and make proper notes when I’m going to write multiverse in mind.

Zevran Arainai
[ Love Interest ]
Wanting to see good in everyone, Surana decided to spare Zevran’s life after his failed assassination attempt even if he had to endure major complaints from his other companions.
Not understanding why or how, they eventually started to hit it off even with their major differences in their ways of thinking.
Myara Aeducan --Multiverse
[ Good Friend ]
The dwarven princess stripped of her title and caste, she had no other choice than to become a Grey Warden. Her strong but kind demeanor helped Surana to keep going and try harder even when his motivation was low.
