Blue

Blue is a soft-spoken gem, and more than a little introverted.  Underneath that, though, she has a lot of determination and willpower.  She has a distinct appreciation for aesthetics and fashion, the discovery of which made her realize how strongly she disagreed with the rules and structures of Homeworld.  She deserted, but didn't align herself with any rebel groups, instead simply disappearing into the wastes of central Australia to live her own life.

She was corrupted along with all the other gems left behind on Earth, but was eventually captured and healed.  She'd taken a liking to the desert, though, and returned to her home as soon as she could.

Gem info: Dumortierite is also known as Blue Quartz, and irl it is sometimes used as imitation Lapis Lazuli. Because of that, I imagine Dumortierites are scouts that can use tiny water wings to move faster and jump higher. (No flight, of course, since their powers would be very weak.  I imagine the wings being on their ankles, Hermes-style.)
