Dimitri ✦

Dimitri was born into the Larimar noble house loyal to the royal family of a coastal kingdom, and grew up alongside the royal children.

Despite his disdain for war, Dimitri's deep loyalty for his nation is what drove him to fulfill his duties on the battlefield through gritting teeth. His skills and ties to the current royal family helped him rise in the ranks to captain at a young age, allowing Dimitri to influence others to use his ideal strategies involving incapacitating enemies rather than killing them, usually with the use of magic.  He himself had his armor imbued with magic, especially collected in the gemstones in his chest armor. With water/ice related magic being the most commonly used magic in the coastal kingdom and an easier element to use less aggressively in subduing an opponent, Dimitri's strategies soon became accepted and adapted, and often resulted in many victories on the battlefield.

With an impressive military career at such a young age, some of the noble houses and even the current ruler felt Dimitri would be a prime candidate for the next Royal Selection where the kingdom would choose the next ruler. While Dimitri was proud of his military image, he felt he needed to first build his image as someone of the people, and would do volunteer work in his spare time. But an even greater opportunity was soon to come.

One day a royal visitor arrives to the nation seeking to form an alliance with the coastal kingdom. It was Prince Ashley Pearlite from the united elven and dragon ruling kingdom, which was known as a hotspot for trade and luxurious items. After touring with the prince the entire day, the royal family agrees to open their resources and docks for foreign trade to the other kingdom as part of their new alliance. Prince Ashley also requests they put in a good word with their allies when he visits to invite them into the alliance as well, but the royals get a better idea. They assign their most trusted and loyal captain to join the prince's party as an ambassador for the kingdom, as part of Dimitri's official campaign for royal candidate. The knight is reluctant to travel with a stranger, but does so on behalf of his people. He introduces himself to Ashley, who welcomes Dimitri to the party. The next day the prince and captain began setting out for the next nation together.
