In the depth of the forested south of The Gardens, Constance and her friend Sandy Morde sought out the wanderer Tom Stone to get her fortune read. When Tom saw the colors of red and white appear within his crystal, he rallied up several other members of his group in anticipation of the Valar's return- who hadn't been heard of or seen since Constance's great-uncle Morghul the First's demise.
Constance, being Hrothgar's only blood daughter and heir, was often picked on and treated differently by her step-sisters and mother. Being close to only her father, she snuck her way into remaining by his side during the events of the Second Nouvish Rebellion, in which Hrothgar and the forces from Southern and Northern Nouveau joined together to protest against the tyranny of King Theron Chevalier. For years, she grew up in a war led by her father and faced several losses; including the death of her closest friend Sandy. After the rebellion ended, she was sent back to her home in The Gardens, where he mother Hanna began arranging her to marry. While she had her eyes on Prince Torin Chevalier initially, the aftermath of the war put the Averdeen/Chevalier relationship to a stark halt and she was now set to marry the deaf Damien Graves after a friendship was made between Hanna and Irina Graves. Constance hated this idea and soon after, the mysterious deaths of Damien, his sister Meera, Hanna and her daughters, and even Prince Torin Chevalier came to light. They had all been poisoned and while Constance was suspect, she was never charged due to herself being poisoned in the same manner. She was now left as the Lady of the Gardens and married Lord Darcy Heights of Auvergne, having four children with him including the mortaliziation of the god Valar, Osiria Averdeen.
