Dragon Age: Rain is the twin brother of Snow Cousland, the hero of Ferelden. During beginning of Origins, before his family was killed, he was sent to Antiva after being caught fraternizing with a male elfin servant that worked in their families castle. Once he arrived in Antiva, Rain soon got into trouble with the Antivan Crows but eventually became one of them after showing his impressive skill with the double daggers and the art of theft. Eventually when news of his sisters journey reached him, he left int he middle of the night from the Crows to join his twin and her cause, eventually costing his own life in sacrifice for hers when a portal to the Fade had opened up.
Dragon Age II: After Ferelden had been saved and the rebuilding of the kingdom had started, a young man baring the likeness of the queen had shown up mysteriously in town. All he would remember was his name, Rain/Randolph, and all that belonged to him were two bloodied daggers and tattered armor. Luckily for him, as much as he bared likeness to the queens lost twin brother, he also bore a likeness to the dead son of the grieving Trevelyan family. They took Rain in as their own son until eventually Rain himself believed to have been the true kin of the Trevelyan family.
Dragon Age Inquisition: Years after the events of the Hero of Ferelden and the Champion of Kirkwall had passed, Rain had grown up to be an exceptionally well versed man. His ill mannered Highland accent had washed away and replaced with a more fitting accent, that of the Trevelyan family. Being invited to the summit, the Trevelyan family gave Rain the honor of going to watch history happen. Soon all of Thedas will be unified right in front of Randolph Trevelyan... but unfortunately it never did. An explosion happened at the summit and once again Rain had woken up confused and his mind jumbled and a strange green glowing mark on his hand. After quite the few events, Rain now is dubbed the inquisitor and is marching through Thedas to close a mysterious tear in the sky called the "Breach", which is unleashing dangerous demons upon the world.
Modern Day: Everything that had happened in his Dragon Age verse had been the plot and story of a fantasy trilogy, kind of like Game of Thrones. Rain MacCoughlan is actually an actor, along with his sister Snow who hail from Dublin, Ireland. Both him, his sister Snow, and their Cousin Hawke are famous for their main roles in the Dragon Age Series as well as in popular theater plays.
Wollis World: A traveling neutral rogue theif. Maybe hired in the future to fight or eventually side with someone permanently untill the war has ended.
