Profile
One of the oldest living Osenyans, he was born just three generations removed from the curse that turned them into what they are. His family still talked of the days when they were Elves who walked among trees and other environments he had never seen. They taught him some of the ancient script, a tradition now lost by many of the tribes. It was because he was armed with this knowledge, and his understanding of ancient teachings he was tasked with the divesting of Kepi Indrani.
Using his knowledge he located ancient repositories of information about the origin of the gods, since it is known they change over time. For over a century he searched for information on how to eliminate the divine connection. Though, as far as we know, he never found that knowledge, the other things he discovered along the way had a profound impact on his view of the world.
He no longer viewed the curse placed up on the elves as wholly negative, but instead as a blessing to allow them to survive. The greatest of which was what was the true cost of the aftermath of the War of Two Emperors and the Mage Ascension Wars. Afterwhich, he began to spread what he had learned and gathered a body of followers, who were fervently loyal and incredibly dangerous. They aggressively propagated this view and encouraged the current Osenyans to start settling along the Rim of the Abyss.
With his followers being so forceful, this led to a war between his faction and the other Osenyans. Years of bloody conflict followed there after, whole tribes being wiped out by this terrible war. The final major conflict of this war took place on the Great Shelf, which broke off due to the powers that were unleashed and fell into the Abyss. Then, Heliosxeres was imprisoned and bound by the Chains of Cambyses.
These tools of binding were not what the captors had thought however, and Helioxeres was able to use the magic within the chains to siphon the life energy from the other people he was imprisoned with before he staged his escape. He now uses the chains as his symbol of authority and salvation, continuing to rally Osenyans to his cause.
