First to confess? Bakugo does, believe it or not, Ayaka was always too awkward and fearful to try and tell him. And he does it rather aggressively unintentionally, scaring her a little bit but she was happy.
First to apologize? Ayaka with a bit of time to themselves after whatever predicament they found themselves in. Both need a little time alone when they're angry, but Ayaka will usually go back and apologize, even if it wasn't entirely her fault.
The more popular/charismatic? Neither seemingly, Ayaka doesn't like attracting attention and Bakugo is of course his aggressive self. Bakugo does have the bakusquad though if that can count-
Which is the best caretaker when the other is sick? Bakugo. He tends to be somewhat gentle with her and shows concern for her when he notices the slightest thing is off. He's also a little better with cooking, etc.
Who does the cooking? Bakugo. Ayaka makes a mess and would probably burn something, so he opts her out of cooking immediately
Who does the housework? Both. Usually, Bakugo starts it up, then Ayaka would end up helping just to make the process go faster.
Which is the overprotective one? They're both protective over each other, but Bakugo is the big one. So much as one wrong look at Ayaka, he's on the case.
Which is the designated driver? Ayaka for sure, Bakugo probably has a lot of road rage and she doesn't trust him in the driver's seat-
Which has good penmanship? In my opinion, Bakugo would because he probably does plenty of neat note-taking. Meanwhile, Ayaka's notes are either sort of neat or sporadic with doodles on them, there's no in-between.
Who has a better relationship experience? Neither of them does. They are each other's first so they gradually learn with each other.
Which is more sensitive to subtle changes in their partner? Ayaka for sure. She's panicky and worrying once she notices even a minuscule change in Bakugo's behavior.
The one that dies protecting the other? Ayaka. She's known to care more for others than herself, so she would die to protect Bakugo.

Supernovae
Meeting Katsuki was something Ayaka thought would turn out perfectly, until she found out just really how he was. Brash and loud, totally offset from her sweet and timid little self. It wasn't what Ayaka was expecting, but then again she had fallen more for his appearance when she saw him at the entrance exam.
In Katsuki's eyes she was annoyingly shy and sweet. Most of the time he tried to stay away from her, but as she opened up more to others in the class, he found himself getting drawn in. Not really trying to be friends with her, but just for what company he could get by lingering around her.
For what time he watched her during training sessions and such, he started to evaluate her power. While she didn't think she was all that much, he was thinking the opposite. Seeing her as an equal led to him seeing her as a fun rival, which she gladly accepted if that's at least what they could have. The more time they spent training, though, the more time they started to spend as somewhat friends. It wasn't like Katsuki at all, and even he tried to deny the fact that it was happening, but some of the students started seeing some possible chemistry between the two despite their efforts of denying.
Hideout raid arc
When Ayaka caught whim of the events of Katsuki being captured by the League of Villains, it was like a living hell for her. She was filled with worry, constantly pondering on how it went down and wishing she could've been there to help the others stop it at the time. At the same time, a plan was starting to brew on trying to rescue Katsuki. After overhearing of this plan, Ayaka joins in on the group to retrieve him.
After the events that take place, Ayaka had never been more relieved in her life that Katsuki was finally safe, even after all the trouble they went through. When she thinks everything is okay, she notices that he starts to look a little troubled at this point.
Moving into the dorms is kind of where the two get a little more comfortable with each other. At one night, Ayaka finally decided to ask why he looked so troubled and oddly distraught. His usual response was to get defensive, but for once he let himself look vulnerable in front of her. It made her a little sad, feeling like she needed to comfort him in at least some form. This led to their first somewhat intimate moment, Katsuki letting Ayaka just hold him. At that time, Katsuki was the one who decided to share his feelings for her first.
HEADcanons
- The start of their relationship was quite rocky. Ayaka unexpectedly fell a little too hard, but Bakugo thought she was quite annoying and at the start, he would go as far as to insult her. It surprisingly didn't stop her though.
- For nicknames, she calls him a simple Katsu while he calls her nerd or Starlight/Starshine.
- In the future, they would have two kids. A boy and a girl by the names of Katsuya and Kazaka.
- It may seem weird, but Ayaka sometimes gives him little palm kisses and he likes it.
- Ayaka gets a puppy down the line sometimes, and as a joke, she named it "Barkugo" because of how much it likes to bark at other people. Bakugo was highly annoyed with it for a while, but boy does he love the dog now.
- Ayaka certainly brings up a lot of random or childish things she sees online at times, and often he'll laugh at it but secretly will go and research it while they're not around each other.
- Bakugo likes to play with Ayaka's cool hair, he's seemingly very fascinated with the consistency of it.
- When Bakugo tries to teach Ayaka how to cook, he pretty much scares her out of it by yelling out to her to "chop faster" or "be more aggressive"
- Ayaka likes to do a lot of matching clothing, so she brings his mom Mitsuki into it and she's a pretty big fan of it. Mitsuki has also given Ayaka some of Bakugo's old clothing.
- With Ayaka's nephew, she tricks Bakugo into babysitting by telling him she's home alone. Eventually, he comes to get somewhat along with her nephew
- Ayaka owns a lot of plushies so sometimes Bakugo doesn't get any room to sleep on the same bed as her on those occasions.
- Based off of when 1-A did their music show in season 4, Bakugo and Ayaka would team up on drums and vocals.
- At times Ayaka will get very insecure about herself next to Bakugo since she is a little less fit and heavier than he is, but he makes sure she knows that that doesn't matter to him.

"I know it's a bad way to start, but I couldn't keep my eyes off of him just about. And oh man, it was like a heart throb when I finally got to meet him face to face. Maybe a little too aggressive and short tempered, but I didn't want that to stop me."

"Annoying but.. Kind of a cute idiot- I'm not stupid enough to say that out loud though. Sometimes I wonder why I even picked her, but fuck it, who's gonna tell me I shouldn't?"
Ayaka'S GIFTs TO Bakugo
ITEM: Ayaka is horrible at gifts, but she made an attempt anyways by giving him some All Might merch. He chuckled a little at her cute idea, but he liked it.
ITEM: A vintage handheld gaming console. Oddly specific and a weird choice in her opinion, but when she saw it, she thought of him. He plays on it quite a lot when they play games with each other on occasion.
Bakugo'S GIFTS TO Ayaka
ITEM: Candy. He knows how much she loves her sweets, so sometimes he goes out of his way to buys her chocolates and such.
ITEM: A stuffed corgi. Ayaka loves dogs (corgis to be more specific), but it was rather an idea from their friend Hinata that Bakugo used. Ayaka loved it.
