Hinata Akahoshi (赤星 陽向 Akahoshi Hinata), also known as Sunshine Heroine: Solis (太陽の光のヒロイン：ソリス Taiyō no hikari no hiroin: Sorisu) is a student of Class 1-A at U.A High School, training to become a Pro Hero.

It is described that Hinata shines bright just like the sun. Almost never will she be seen without a big smile adorning her face. Hinata has a very warm personality, usually trying to keep positive and have optimistic outlooks on life. 

In any situation, she's shown to have a huge sense of pride. Growing up, she was constantly praised by her mother and step-father and was very successful, leading her to keep the determination and want to win. Sometimes though, being so prideful gets to be a habit of hers to the point it just makes her seem plain arrogant or cocky.

Overall, Hinata is very enjoyable to be around. With her friends, she's generally the one to get some good laughs out of a group, even when times are tough. It's also fairly easy for her to befriend people because of her personality, but also very easy for her to drop someone or dislike someone. 

Quirk

Solar Powered (ソーラーパワー  Sōrāpawā): Hinata's quirk gives her the ability to absorb energy and light from the sun. Her body converts it into enhancements for her body, or it can store it for later use. It's always active out in daylight, making her quite energetic during the day. During the nighttime, she gets extremely sluggish and sometimes even nauseous.

• Speed Enhancement: Energy channeled into her legs grants her superhuman speed, leading to a greater chance of being able to avoid attacks. Energy channeled into her arms gives her a greater amount of strength, enough to pick up objects that weigh tons.
• Strength Enhancement: Energy channeled into her arms gives her a greater amount of strength, enough to pick up objects that weigh tons.
• Afterglow: This is more of an after-effect rather than a move. Any excess energy not used after she is done attacked will instead be released as a light source from her body, giving off a faint glow from her skin. It actually came from her father's quirk but morphed more into what Hinata has from her mother.
• Earth Shatter: Hinata channels a large amount of energy through one leg so then she can kick it down hard onto the ground. The force of the impact will cause the ground to crack, and pieces of the earth will shoot up into the sky leading to an attack with those. 
• Solar Eclipse: Taught to her by her biological father, she lets out a large burst of solar energy on an opponent that can cause blindness for up to 35 seconds. Since this is a large burst, it usually takes up most of her energy, leaving her with bad nausea afterward.

Background

Hinata was born near Shizuoka Prefecture to Minako Denjiki (née Kanda) and Benji Akahoshi as the middle girl of the family. Although her parents were apart of an arranged marriage and thereafter separated, they seemed to love each other and the daughters they created. For the time Benji was in her life, he helped Minako in training Hinata and her sisters with their quirks starting at a young age. They wanted at least one of their girls to become strong and pursue the heroic career that they never could. The praises Hinata received as she grew up was enough for her to grow up filled with determination and pride in becoming a hero.

• She and her two sisters all have different quirks. The eldest one having their father's Solar Halo quirk, and the youngest having the step dad's Magnetic quirk. She received a mixture of her mother and her father.
• Hinata's favorite hero is Athena, whom she interns with and is actually related to.
• With her quirk, Hinata does not get a sunburn.
• Hinata has a tough time gaining weight, no matter how much food she eats. 
• She has a tendency to start messing with her hair when she is nervous or anxious. It makes it pretty noticeable when she is lying if one catches on to the fact that she does this. 
• She hates it when she loses not only competition-wise but losing someone else is also very hard on her.
• She also happens to dislike insects and wearing skirts unless it is for a formal occasion.
• Hinata writes poetry of her own from time to time, but she refuses to share it because she thinks she's not the greatest at it
