Althaea is a thoughtful and caring goddess who always put the needs of the people above herself. Even sealing herself away for ages to both train herself in body and mind and out of fear of becoming attached to the people in her country in the dread of their untimely demises as a result of not being immortal. She was always looked down on by the other gods for being small and weak, and as a result it pushed her to constantly seek to better herself and reach her limits in all opportunities. She spent a long time very lonely, and often struggles with social environments or understanding the subtleties of other's words and actions. She can and is polite, and good at figuring things out, but it might be overestimating her to expect to understand all of what's going on in a conversation. Especially if it involves uniquely human elements. She is very wise, even if she doesn't always express that vividly, her actions are always well considered.
She's quiet and tends to prefer to observe rather than get involved where possible, but she isn't afraid of taking lead when necessary. Though she prefers to fade into the background where possible, she does have a small penchant for causing trouble and having a little fun at others expenses at times.
She can sometimes overestimate her own abilities, and recklessly get herself into harms way or to the point of exhaustion by just trying to do too much.
She can come across as cold to some people because she tends to stay rather aloof in conversations, but she is very loving towards her partner and family. She is also highly protective of them, and putting them in harms way is guaranteed to get an explosive reaction from the usually-calm goddess.

- Her abilities change color with the moon. A blood moon makes them red, a harvest moon makes them blue, a new moon leaves them black. The types of magic afflicted by her abilities also changes based on the color. White is light, cold and biting. Red is fire, burning. Blue is electric, stinging and crackling. Black is shadow, smooth and consuming.

- She lives in the realm of the moon, a domain on the moon of her world itself. She is the only one living there, and it bends to her will, essentially forming a small paradise there for herself.
- As a moon god she can present herself in any body/form she desires at a given time, but she tends to lean more towards being feminine and using she/her. She doesn't however, really care what you call her; and will switch physically between male and female to suit what she/he feels most comfortable with at any given time. When using he/him, he goes by Althaean instead.
- She was not given her name/did not choose her name herself. It was given to her by her human followers at some point and she simply accepted it. Relatively, she's fairly indifferent on the concept of a name as a whole.
Althaea is the youngest god of her world, the last one born before new gods ceased to be created. As such, she's always been the baby of her kins, treated like a child and like the underdog. When all of the gods divvied up duties- she was given the smallest of tasks. Make the moon move in the sky- and maintain a small country named Pealania. While other gods handled their own realms and duties, Althaea tended to hers and more. She dedicated her time and life, thousands of years of training. As the other gods grew lax in centuries of peacetime...she grew stronger. So when a mysterious god-slayer arose and began killing her kin, she was the last one remaining to face him. He'd left her as a weakling, doubting her just as her kin had, but she had trained many years to be ready to stand up among them.
She was pulled from the moon by Eliana, a leader of Pealania who sought to bring her goddess to refuge to prevent her murder by this god slayer that had already caused extreme damage to their world. When dragged here, she learned of the perils facing her, and took over the duties of the other gods- saving the world from destruction as she prepared to face off with this being who wanted to take their place. As the only one in his way, she was a target- but she was one in mourning who had nothing to lose and everything to prove to show that her kind's era wasn't over yet.

The commander of Althaea's country when she was pulled to the mortal world. Eliana was an avid follower of Althaea's as the moon goddess, and wanted to protect her from the god slayer who had killed many of Althaea's kin. Eventually, the two bonded earnestly, and became friends, and later more. Althaea will defend her aggressively if she's threatened, but despite Althaea's being a goddess thing- Eliana is definitely the one in charge here.
