Val has a mysterious past that he doesn't often like to talk about. His father, Ivanov, is the son of the owner of the biggest ballet theater in Russia in the late 1800s. His mother, Yun Hee, is the daughter of a well known and respected ballet show cobbler. Together, they danced in secret; as their love was strictly forbidden by Ivanov's family. They had plans to run away with one another before they were discovered by locals, who were quick to gossip and deliver the message to Ivanov's mother. Once Yun Hee caught wind of this, she ran away, not before finding out she was pregnant with Val. 

Some other things happened, aka I might reveal it later if I don't forget, Val lived in France with his mother until he was 20, to which he was turned the night before his 21st birthday. Ever since then, he has visions of this strange entity, Romeo, in his mind who treated him like a frenemy. He met Rain, his first vampire friend, who taught him to control his vampiric desires enough to live with the common folk. From here, he and Rain started the Beta Lambda Delta fraternity as a cover for their vampire coven. He met many other vampires who he instated into his frat, though Romeo always appear to want to go down the hazing route for the new recruits. Even if the coven only recruits a small amount of members, he eventually allowed in one human, Max Warren. He hears that this Max had a father who had a long lineage of sponsoring the college, which only meant that daddy might even donate some of that sweet money to the coven, right?

His full name, Victor Valentine, is not his real name; instead it is a chosen one given to him by the person that Turned him. Little did he know, he was inheriting a banished Greek God into his mind from the last owner. Ever since his turning, he has an entity that follows him, to who only he can see.
