Tau

Tau is a cursed automaton built by an ancient cult.  They were lost at the bottom of the ocean for centuries, eventually dredged up and fixed by a curious wizard.  Their warlock powers don't come from a deal they made themself- instead, their powers were "built in" in the same ritual that gave them consciousness.

Tau has neutral good tendencies, but their morality doesn't always line up with that of... sensible people.  They're trying their best, though.  They leak saltwater when upset, but no one can figure out where it comes from.

Greatest moments:

• The party collectively decided that Tau eats by putting things inside their chest compartment, which is full of eyes that turn into mouths.  It was also agreed that doing so makes the minecraft eating noise.
• Gets along well with the Artificer's robotic daughter.  She told them what a unicorn was and they spent the next several hours holding their pact weapon (in dagger form) against their forehead, insisting that they were a unicorn.
