Abby Bobbha

Shadow muses (and normal muses) are actually not their own true species, they are what we call some subsets of children born from a Demon and a Vampire (regular muses has an angel parent in place of a demon one). The vampiric charm combined with either demonic sin or angelic virtue make muses inspiring beings.

Childhood
Her mother Eshe was a vampire and she fell in love with Teye, a demon. Their relationship wasn’t the best with Teye being rather unreliable from the start. Once Eshe got pregnant with Abby that’s when he started to be outright unfaithful and he completely went MIA when his daughter was born.

Abby grew up in a single-parent household with her mother trying her best to provide the best life for her daughter while remaining in the shadows. Sadly vampire hunters ended up finding about her existence and did their job. Abby was not harmed thanks to her ability to disguise herself as human. From the age of 16 and onward she’s been basically on her own.

Father/daughter relationship
Abby holds a very deep resentment for her father. Not only did he bail on her and her mother since she was born but he also did ‘let her mom die’ and not help when she was let to fend for herself after losing her only competent parental figure.

Now that she’s grown Teye has actually tried to bond with his daughter but from her point of view he’s only doing it to get something from her and he’s pretty much dead to her.

Present day
Nowadays she’s quite comfortable, she’s made a fortune for herself by traveling from town to town disguising herself as a human fortune teller and scamming people out of their money.

She also sometimes let her vampire instincts take over and indulges in a bit of blood-sucking. She doesn’t needs it to survive but it does make her temporarily stronger/help her heal faster when she does drink blood.

Abilities
Being a shadow muse means that just like with regular muses of mythology people that stay around her for a decent amount of time tend to feel more creatively inspired. However while regular muses inspire people to make art (painting, writing, composing, etc), shadow muses inspire people to come up with new way to scam people or new method of performing a heist.

She also has 2 other abilities she inherited from a demonic side: 

• Humanshifting lets her shapeshift to look like a normal human
• Vitaevision allows her to see people as if their skin and muscle where completely see-through. She often uses this ability to see if people have unseen medical issues and pretend she knew about these thanks to her crystal ball when doing fortune-telling sessions.

Despite being born from 2 species weak to religious symbols, Shadow muses seems to be rather unaffected by them.

It’s not entirely known if Abby’s dresses are an extension of her body or not but all the dresses she can be seen wearing end in tentacles that are very much made of living tissues and controlled by Abby. She’s also almost never seen not wearing a dress or anything that would show the legs that would potentially be beneath them. The only times she is seen in normal dresses or showing her legs are when she’s parading as a human.
