Shion is Ethan's first true friend - they've met as kids and quickly connected over their feelings of alienation from others, as well as interest in reading. Discussing their favorite books, learning about other countries, history and natural phenomenas around the world has become their favorite pasttime. Their relationship wasn't without faults - with both of them struggling to express their feelings, a lot of important things remained unspoken between them. Years of skipping around certain issues resulted in a huge fight, after which they didn't get a chance to make up.
After being separated for four years due to circumstance and finally reunited, Ethan wants to rebuild his relationship with Shion, and it seems the feeling's mutual. There's a sort of understanding between them that differs from their other friends, and, even though their relationship got a bit strained, they still love and care for each other greatly.
When they were young teens, Ethan used to crush on Shion in a romantic way a little bit.

With mutual fondness for exercise, strong will and lots of care for their friends and family in their hearts, no wonder Ethan and Angus formed a quick and strong connection. Their personalities clicked perfectly, and they understand each other's struggles pretty well. Ethan finds Angus endearing, admiring his strength as well as his looks, finding solace in his words which he considers great help. Despite appreciating all sides of his friend greatly, Ethan's not afraid to step in when the redhead's hot-headed nature raises its head a bit too high. They formed a friendship based on mutual understanding and equality.
Lately, Ethan's been staring at the way Angus face looks in profile a bit too much... his heart can't help but skip a beat when his friend lights up the room with a warm smile which reminds Ethan of the sun.

Ethan's little sister. He cares about her immensly, she was the main reason why he's decided to work for Tom Wilbur, sacrificing his chance at higher education, as well as his friendship with Shion. Surprisingly enough, as children they didn't get along that well, Ethan's more reserved nature and her outgoing persona clashing quite a bit.
After their mother's death, however, Ethan felt responsible for ensuring Marcy's future can be bright and happy despite the hardships they've been through. He quickly adjusted into the "responsible big brother" role and put all of his strenght into work, earning enough to give his sister an opportunity to attend university.
He's very protective of her, sometimes even too much so. Not telling her about the biggest obstacles he's had to face and many aspects of current dangers, he wants her to remain blissfully unaware of certain issues. That's why his priority before joining the main group was making sure Marcellina is safe - only after achieving that goal was Ethan able to make any decisive moves.
