Ares is a war machine. He is officially one of the most complex and high quality firstborns alive, and his father's magnum opus of design and efficiency. He is cruel, bloodthirsty, and merciless. His willingness to kill anyone and tear down anything that stands to slow him down on the path to his set goal is what makes literally everyone terrified of him. (He eats people, commits human rights violations, kills men, women, and children indiscriminately, he is effectively a meat grinder.)
His astronomically low empathy and general discomfort in social situations make him very difficult to interact with. He speaks rarely, slowly, and quietly and does not care to share what actually intrigues him. He presents as completely flat and emotionless, as facial expressions are foreign to him. He has no relationships because he can't tolerate noise, people standing too close to him, and the sound of breathing.
Personality-wise he's a brick wall, Ares is extremely blunt and is entertained by very few things other than excessive violence. He usually tries to maintain a strong grip on his dignity until he snaps and starts acting borderline feral under pressure. He is rather rude and his polished manner of dress can make him come off as smug or egotistical, which he is to a degree, but fundamentally he really has no idea what is going on and feels very lost in social spheres.
