Damion was raised to rarely show emotion, and he almost never does, and it's only in rare surprise or grief, and you can only see the emotion in his eyes. Damion cannot smile or laugh due to his mouth being sewn shut, and he can only quirk up the edges of his lips a bit if he wants to show any happiness he might share. However, when telepathically speaking to someone, he sounds rather intelligent, yet with a snarky and sarcastic tone as well, but even then his voice is always laced with what can only be described as a quirky, childish persona even if his humour is dry, dark, and morbid, and most he does is smart-mouth his way through life. He has no need to be affectionate, although he can and usually is caring, but usually only towards wildlife and anyone close to him, and that's it. When Damion gets angry, you can clearly tell, as his voice will go higher and he'll narrow his eyes in probably the scariest glare you might ever see. But even so, the kid’s insanely mature for his age, almost too mature, and terrifyingly intelligent. His eyes read of someone who’s been through a lot already, and since he’s not the best socially he just uses sarcasm and has a tendency to act like he’s tired of everyone’s shit, which he most likely is. He scorns most religion and only follows Satanism purely because of Beelzebub saving him as a child, he feels as if Hell's inhabitants have more sympathy than God might ever have for him, and he's not a devout follower of it since religious beings have been proven real to him he feels as if it'd be foolish not to pick one to at least believe in.

Childhood

Damion’s parents were always odd, two necromancers who were too easily swayed for their own good, two necromancers who turned to a cult when they both lost their jobs and fell below the poverty line. The Silent Cult (It needs a better name but I do not have one right now) were a group of people led by a priest who claimed that by achieving the gift of silence and communicating only through your head you would achieve the ability of not only improved intelligence, but also that if enough people did it they could easily take over the “corrupt” and “ignorant” people who ripped them of their jobs and lives. The cult was full of necromancers and demon-worshippers, and upon entering, Damion, aged 10, was forced to have his mouth sewn shut alongside his parents. He thrashed and screamed and begged for his parents to help him, wondering why they would ever allow this and why they simply stared at him blankly until he was unable to physically scream any longer. He was forced, along with other adults, to go through mind-twisting trials to learn how to speak in other’s heads, and learned his skill of telepathy faster than any other adult in the trials, and was allowed to leave and return to his parents, high-ranking followers in the cult now for a 12 year old Damion. His gift was nothing, his parents acknowledged and praised their son on his achievement before sending him to bed as if everything was normal, but it wasn’t.

Teenage Years

It took another year before Damion finally was freed of his situation. One night, blood-curdling screams echoed through the cult’s camp as a burst of fire exploded from the main building, a demon summon gone wrong. The demon was a powerful entity from the wrath circle who brutally slaughtered every single cultist in the camp, sent as a bounty hunter for deals not repaid to the Devil made by the cult’s leader. One cultist, however, was spared by their claws; Damion. He saw her slink into his room like smoke before forming into her demonic shape, though unlike the others she’s stared into, her gaze was pitiful, something, unlike a wrath demon. She cupped his cheeks with nearly burning hot hands and cooed at him almost motherly, taking a liking to the young boy upon sight. She told him she would remove the restraints on his lips if he’d like and then send him somewhere safe, however, to her surprise, Damion refused. He’d grown used to the silence and used to his head being his only voice, and after everything he’d been through, he never wanted to physically utter a word again. At age thirteen with a mind and attitude too mature for himself to handle, Damion found himself attached to this demon and begged her not to leave him, something in the demon’s black, dark heart panging as she turned back to look at him, surprised when he leapt forward to hug her as if she were his own mother, which made even the cold bounty huntress who killed thousands in her time soften. She found herself too attached to leave him and decided to stay with him as his new mother figure, though, knowing her true form to be too dangerous to walk in due to her notoriety, she took the form of a blue rabbit balloon since rabbits were Damion’s favourite animal. She allowed Damion to name her, in which Damion dubbed her “Beelzebub”. The two spent the next few years roaming together until they eventually settled down in a neighbourhood that was noted to contain mostly supernatural beings. He met Harmony Vance because of this by circumstance, working at a library for a short amount of time in the neighbourhood, and the two struck up an oddly tight friendship over time because of this, Damion enjoying the girl's presence despite her overexcitable and positive nature typically being something he'd stray from.

Adulthood

Once he turned eighteen, Beelzebub, beginning to feel as if Damion no longer needed her as a guardian, began not being around Damion as often, it became less common to see Damion carrying around the rabbit balloon he always had, though she still visited when not busy, having still kept her attachment and motherly feeling toward the boy. Damion began offering up his services as a necromancer and empath for a fee, studying psychology and philosophy in college when he decided to go (Thanks to his fake demon mom paying off tuition for him and also getting him a fake high school degree with demon magic). He and Harmony eventually struck up a romantic relationship, one Damion wasn't exactly experienced with (he once again began to feel a rare emotion; nervousness), but one he wasn't unhappy with, he genuinely enjoyed Harmony's presence and got along with her very well, enough to openly admit that he loved her. I like to imagine that in the future he became either a necromancer/empath for hire, an author of sorts, or a psychologist.

Harmony

[ Girlfriend/Fiancee/Wife ]

Meeting her around his sixteenth year of age, Damion, at first, wasn't that interested in Harmony, finding her overly positive attitude a bit annoying, though he, admittedly, did consider it a bit endearing all the same. Her persistence to spend time with him eventually began making Damion like her as a friend, though, which wasn't exactly normal for him considering he'd never exactly had a friend before her, other than his bond with Beelzebub. As time passed he began growing much more willing to spend time with her, showing himself to be incredibly patient around her and much more talkative than he usually was around others. In their adulthood, Harmony eventually asked him out first, Damion a bit too freaked out by the feelings he had to consider asking her himself. He said yes to her request for them to be partners, though, and moved in together around when Damion was twenty, eventually getting married around, I'd predict, when he was twenty-five. Damion adores her, he finds her pretty and has noted that her optimistic outlook on life has begun to spread to him, she makes him happier and it's more often to see the edges of his lips quirked up in a smile-like expression when they're together.

Kaevyre/Beelzebub

[ Mother Figure ]

As much as he insists that Kaevyre, who he dubbed as Beelzebub as a child, isn't his mother, Damion does actually view her as a parental figure of sorts due to her practically raising him after rescuing him from the cult he had been in. The Wrath demon wasn't exactly the best parental figure in hindsight, she had a very violence-based outlook on life that Damion did not share, but she cared for him all the same and Damion is grateful for that regardless, not knowing exactly what might have happened to him if he'd just let her leave him alone and had not implored her to stay with him. As he grows, he does, of course, begin to not require her presence as often, as any young adult might, but he still values it, openly enjoying whenever the demon visits him at home, even if he can find her attitude a bit annoying at times.
