About

Kioh was born into poverty in a port city, living with his mother and older brother Seiv. When their mother died, they both took on odd jobs to support each other. As they grew older, Seiv started to pick up jobs that were slightly more under-the-radar, and he made quite a few connections with people in the illegal underbelly of the city. Kioh, on the other hand, worked hard in labor jobs and eventually took to work on the docks and on ships. He always told his brother about any safe job postings he came across in the hopes that he'd shy away from the immoral path he was heading down, but Seiv was unflinching when it came to breaking laws. There wasn't anything Kioh could do, and in the end, the lucrative amount of money Seiv made was what got them a good education.

Around the time they were teenagers, Seiv disappeared, and Kioh enlisted in the navy. Through hard work and dedication, and with the help of his education and experiences, he climbed the ladder of rank and got to meet many new people and see a lot of new places. He saw many new ways to perform tasks and make maneuvers, propositioned innovative strategies for many kinds of occassions, and generally thought outside of the box about a lot of things. He was also incredibly kind and open to all kinds of people, genuine and thoughtful to the bone. And though at first he had a hard time putting his foot down or speaking up, he eventually tempered himself to be a steadfast voice for the people under him to listen to. If he needed to, he would take charge and make the hard decisions in other people's stead, and would be the one at the forefront for others to follow. And because of his honest and kind temperament, others found it hard not to trust him. He had the skill to back up his words and actions, as well. At some point, despite his young age, the Queen acknowledged his creatively modern strategical and organizational skills and appointed him as the head of all seafaring business, and he joined her circle of confidants. Despite his meek upbringings, he worked his way up through sheer will and effort and gained the highest rank possible for a citizen to achieve. He made sure to use his newfound power to help anyone, both children and adult, who went through hardship much like he and his brother did.

After losing contact, they are now practically strangers as adults. Still, Kioh can't help but look for him at times when he looks into a crowd. He's not optimistic about what he must be up to despite hoping to see him again some day.

Ever since she joined the kingdom's circle of advisors, they would often talk together and they found that they had a lot of similar interests. They have also bonded over their many years of ship traveling experiences and enjoyed swapping their favorite books when they found the time.
