Backstory

As you may have guessed, Brook is quite the impulsive type, due to her very rough beginning in life.Though a bright future seemed destined for Brook when she first openned her eyes : a warm and loving family, a luxurious roof above her head...  
Her and her pack belonged to a high human dignitary who believed wolves were the reincarnation of the purest human souls. He admired their beauty and grace, and one day decided to adopt a couple of orphan puppies (found after a terrible wolf hunt..) and started his sanctuary. The wolves he kept under his wing weren't kept in cages, neither in fenced enclosures. They were so happy with the life the human gave them, they never tried to run away from his domain.

Though while his sanctuary was slowly growing in size, it also drew the hatred of malicious people..  The human dignitary was about to learn the most heartbreaking lesson of his life : If the zoos keep their animals behind fences, it's not to lock them up, but rather to protect them from the cruel world they live in..
One day, taking advantage of the man's absence, hundreds of enraged peasants entered the park. Sheepkeepers, farmers, father of young children... they were all fearing the wolves more than any living creature. They were armed and numerous. The almost tamed animals didn't stood a chance...

The young puppy Brook, barely 2 months old at the time caught the peasants attention "Hey look at this pup, looks so harmless. What do you say we bring it home and have a little fun ?" And so they did.She was chained to a tree at the center of the village, and became the outlet of all those who hated her kind. Starved, tortured, hardly surviving the cold winter, she died 4 months after, beaten to death.
When she resurrected she vowed to take revenge on all those responsible for the massacre, even if it's against the KIDs laws.Will she be able to channel her energy and fight wisely helped by her new pack ? or will she let herself be devoured by her hatred and become a demon like the humans she tracks ?

The main reason why she would be in Rift's pack is that she wouldn't support being under the control of a "general like" alpha, like Guntemple for example. She needs to be able to fight, to kill, to follow her guts.
