PAST

Coming from a powerful family within the supernatural scene, Nix has been groomed for leadership since birth. Nix was often relied on to carry out important duties for his family, such as scheduling meetings with those that require his family's help, recording things that have been agreed upon and chasing up debts. While Nix wasn't enthusiastic about his work, he carried it out to his best ability, and became a natural at essentially being a supernatural secretary. Nix's sibling, Tris was a natural troublemaker, and would attempt to make his tasks harder as a source of personal enjoyment. Eventually Nix had enough of this, and lashed out at Tris, severely injuring him. The fallout from this event resulted in Nix being exiled from his family, forcing him to take refuge somewhere else. The area he fled to was a spring of natural magic, and would mask his presence. However, shortly after making his new home there he was confronted by a man claiming to protect the land. Nix, while physically intimidating, did not want to draw attention to himself further and surrendered himself to the man and noticed his strange way of manipulating the area's natural magic to his advantage. Nix, being naturally diplomatic offered his knowledge, abilities and status among humans to the man, whom accepted. Nix aided the man for many years, while being allowed to seek refuge on the land near the man's house.

During this time, Nix learned how to relax a little, and enjoy the simple things in life. The man eventually settled down and had a family, asking Nix to watch over the reserve in his place while he raised his child. However, after a tragedy the man, once close to Nix, disappeared without a trace. Nix suspected foul play.

NOW

Nix has returned to the man's house to gather information on where he could have gone to. Additionally he has reconnected with Ryder, the man's daughter in order to aid her in locating her father. Nix had met Ryder as a small child several times under the guise of her "uncle". However, Ryder has been unaware of Nix's past and true appearance up until now..
