About Danny
While being an all-in team player, Danny is the most laidback of the trio. He is observant, gloomy but calm most of the time. He does have moments where his past life comes back and hits him too suddenly and he has to retreat into himself and literally. He often finds himself hiding in the house he died in and was summoned in.
Danny is content in following Shay and Louie into mayhem. Louie and Shay to Danny are similar to older siblings, thought Shay has more authority. He is able to shift into ghostly large, red-eyed dog at will.
About Shay
Shay is the leader. She's been around the longest and has the most know-how. While she herself doesn't know how old she is, she knows in a human context she is well over 90 years old. But in context of what she is, she isn't an adult quite yet and it shows. Mischievous, clever and rowdy, Shay tends to get into a lot of trouble but she's also really good at getting out of it. She looks after Danny and Louie as if they are her full responsibility and would probably fall apart without them.
Shay lost her ability to control elements but has retained the ability to shapeshift into a few animals as well as her Púca form.
About Louie
Louie talks before he thinks and gets himself into a lot of trouble. He can be rude, crass and very distructive. He doesn't mean to be and he's getting better at controlling his mouth and behavior dispite how hard it is to kick the craving to be so distructive. Before meeting Shay and those in The Den, impulse control was harder because as far as he saw it there was no one like him so no one could understand him.
Louie is uncertain of his full capabilities and through Tauri is learning more. So far as he can tell he can withstand fire.
History of the Kids
SHAY
Shay was once an Aos Si who strayed to far from her people's realm. Her mistake was mingling with the people in the local town. Naïve and new, she was abducted. Her abductors put her in irons and were surprised by her negative reaction to the material. Consulting around, a 'monster' hunter took her off their hands for a pretty penny and sold her for a prettier penny to a collector of sorts.
The Collector had hoped Shay could create gold, thinking she was the type of fae in lore who could. She could not. Being far from home she couldn't even manipulate elements anymore but had retained the ability to shapeshift. So she was made to perform in underground menageries of other supernatural beings belong to The Collector as well as other collectors. Through the grapevine, Mikail⭐️ had heard of The Collector along with his activities. Mikail⭐️; with the help of a few other at The Den, traced their whereabouts and raided The Collector while he traveled with a few of his collection.
They killed The Collector and freed the captive creatures. Mikail⭐️ offered refuge to those who accepted it until they figured out what they wanted to do. Shay was one of them. Shay trusted no one but was thankful to Mikail⭐️ and became loyal to him. He let her do whatever she liked in exchange for her being one of his eyes and ears.
LOUIE
Louie was given up for adoption by his human mother after he was born as the mother knew what he was and it terrified her. He grew up in the foster care, being passed around home to home due to his chaotic tendencies and outbursts. No one was quite sure how to handle him and medication only dulled it so much. One particular foster family asked for a priest to consult him. Not out of supernatural suspicion, but as they were running out of ideas.
This priest knew what he was. Though as he saw Louie was trying but was not managing well around his very human foster families, the priest had a thought. The priest has ties with Mikail⭐️ and thought the boy would benefit from being around others who cope in the modern era and keep their existence a secret. Mikail⭐️ took him in to accompany Shay and sometimes Tauri to get a better hold on what he is and can do as he also helps Mikail⭐️.
The priest continues to councel Louie but they also use it as an cover to his foster family as well as other guises like 'youth work programs'. The foster family doesn't ask too many questions as it has gotten Louie out of their hair as well as they noticed he is a lot less trouble for them.
DANNY
Danny was once a depressed boy who took his own life but was brought back incidentally by Shay and Louie. Shay was having a bit of an age crisis. She doesn't age, but she watches as others grow old. Louie has another birthday and the thought of him growing up and away freaks her out. She decides to try and summon an old creature of her people's realm to keep her company through the years. Shay convinces Louie to help her raid Mikail⭐️'s books for summoning books. She's semi-familiar with spells but it's not exactly the magic she grew up on.
They sneak off into an old rotting house and proceed with a spell she thinks will summon a Cù-sìth. Danny's spirit was still attached to the house they summoned on and in doing so they summoned him through it, attaching him to the Cù-sìth summon. Thus, Danny came to be, again. He lacked clear memories. Just a heavy melancholy, flashes of bad memories and familiarity to the house. Danny was also able to shift into a Cù-sìth or Shuck.
Shay and Louie had to spill the beans as Tauri pieced together what the new kid was. Mikail⭐️ said they could keep him but they couldn't get an allowance for a couple months.
