Well, well, wellie, well! Mongrel doesn't like talking about his past and thus, we won't be discussing it here. Instead, lets talk about now. Now would be good! He is currently under the employment of Faust. And has been for a couple of years now. However, perhaps 'employment' might be the kind way of putting it. He himself would never consider it that. But he's heard the boss call it that to other people on the outside. So, he guesses that must be the legal name for what he does. Currently he's been assigned the intriguing role of guard dog. Looking after the 'bosses' house and the residence there. Which sums up to only be the Bosses 'pet' cat, Clawde. But he liked 'kitten' a lot. Even more now, since he'd picked up the habit of refuring to Mongrel as 'puppy'. It may be a joke? It may even be something said to make fun of him. But he likes it! People like puppies. People love puppies. But no one likes mongrels or mangy dogs ---
