• His name is a mix of "Zaim" meaning flowering/beauty, and "Zane" meaning well-born/noble. It was given to him by his commoner mother before she passed away while he was a child, and she nicknamed him The Flower Prince. Therefore he is known as The Flower Prince among his people, ironically and used as a slur against him and his bad bloodline. Shomari always gifts him with flowers and gives him a new nickname nearly every day to turn the anger towards it back into happiness.
• He clings to Shomari's side any time they are out in public in fear that another crocodile will try to eat him, despite the fact that they all protect him with their lives and have done nothing to him personally to warrant such behavior. His trust issues are something he has to work on.

• He is 5ft 7in tall, small and kinda skinny
• Often has the flowers that Shomari gives him weaved into his mane
• His outfits are very loose and "flowy" with the wind

Zaime's natural personality is rather childish- awed by everything new and pretty, stubborn, curious, and eager for excitement. However, years of holding back his "unacceptable behavior" and trying to be accepted by his father and the royal family has turned him rather meek and reserved. He's scared to be punished or looked down on for expressing himself and instead quietly accepts his father's opinions as fact.

His true sassy self very rarely comes out, but Shomari seems to love him when he's angry and constantly picks at him to make him get loud. Through all the taunting and teasing and fighting, Zaime is actually becoming more comfortable around the big brute and isn't so scared to speak up anymore.

In order to keep the peace between their people, the Zebrafolk were forced into a contract to marry off their royal daughter to the eldest royal son of the Crocs. In an attempt to keep her safe, they forced the king's illegitimate son to take her place, hoping the difference wouldn't be noticed until the contract was signed, the marriage completed, and it was too late to protest. Zaime's identity was quickly discovered, however (mostly due to the fact that his suiter isn't as racist as everyone assumes and can easily tell the zebras apart). But out of respect for the Zebrafolk's attempt to be sneaky and just because it made him laugh, Shomari married Zaime anyways.

He now resides with Shomari in his "royal quarters" (not much different than the rest of their commoner's homes) and despite their rough start, he's learning new skills every day and slowly warming up to the crocodile that wants to woo him properly.
