Loud, rambunctious, and full of life. When Shomari tells a story at the bar, the whole tavern hears it.

TRIVIA
- Shomari means "forceful", but luckily for Zaime, he is anything but.

- He is 6ft 5in tall! A big boy, and very hefty and muscled
- He has a lot of hidden scars
- His right arm is amputated at the elbow, but it does not slow him down as much as someone might expect it to.
PERSONALITY
Despite how rowdy and rambunctious Shomari is most of the time, he does have a major sweet side that Zaime brings out in him like no other. He learned very quickly that a soft touch is much more effective when it comes to the shy boy and is all too happy to bring it out. He doesn't even care who sees him out picking flowers to woo his husband; they can laugh all the want. Even though deep down they all understand and are happy to see him so enamored with someone.
He is a completely different person on the battlefield, however. He is brutal and merciless and his tough skin means he can take countless hits before slowing down. It's best to avoid him when he's in one of his moods, too.
BACKSTORY
In order to keep the peace between their people, the Crocs were convinced to take a bride from the Zebrafolks. A peace offering of their princess's hand, for the hand of the prince of the Croc's. The Crocs agreed, despite their kingdoms being at peace offering very little reward for them. (Honestly there hadn't even been plans to attack the Zebrafolks in the first place, they had just rushed to conclusions when they heard of the Crocs in the area. Shame on them.)
Not only that, but when the day of the wedding came around, the Zebrafolks tried to trick them by offering the king's illegitimate son (under a veil) in place of the princess. As if Shomari and his family couldn't tell them apart by their markings. Out of good humor, Shomari announced loudly that he was just as pleased with the beauty of Zaime as the zebra's sister before saying his vows and sealing the contract.
He doesn't regret this decision at all and is falling head over heels for his little groom every day that he gets to know him.
RELATIONSHIPS
Zaime's sister was originally promised to Shomari in exchange for peace between the two tribes. But Zaime's father didn't want to sacrifice his favorite daughter, so he tried to pull a trick and sent Zaime, disguised as his sister, in her place. It didn't trick Shomari. He found it kind of funny, actually, and went through with signing everything anyways.
Despite the trickery and the arranged marraige, Shomari really has grown quite fond of Zaime and treats him like his king.
Shomari has a huge blood family and an even bigger non-blood family. The whole tribe is very close. Sure they get into fights and everyone is extremely blunt with each other, but no one keeps secrets and there aren't any "hidden agendas" among each other.
Shomari is very respected as the prince despite the fact that he gets into more trouble than some of the town drunks.
