Abilities
Trained in witchcraft since she was 9 years old. Special talent for fire magic, specifically in creating and extinquishing fire phenomena. She also has a high tolerance for fire and heat. She can detect dark magic and sense supernatural activity (although not very precisely), seal up magical evidence and create a few types of magic shields. She can't veil but has a leather jacket that is enchanted let her fade into the background should she activate this.
Received formal training to be a police agent, specialized in the supernatural. She protects members of the supernatural community from evil mages while identifying users of the dark arts, and apprehending them and ensuring their persecution.

Personality
Raina is a loner who works too hard, drinks too much and sleeps too little. She is very independant, strongwilled and honest to the point of being rude. She is committed to upkeeping the law because she wants to keep people safe. She's vigilant and observant, and can be impulsive if she feels threatned. She is guarded and suspicious, always expecting the worst of people and situations, and easily irritated.
History
Raina's magical abilities didn't kick in until she was nine, which felt like a long time for a girl who had a twin sister who had her abilities since she was 2. Kaylee was not only magically talented but also loud, all over the place and always in trouble, which meant Raina staid in the background and mostly kept to herself. It was soon evident that their parents were not equipped to help Kaylee sufficiently, which meant Raina stepped in, in her own way. She was always there for her sister. They were distant to each other for a while, when Raina's magical abilities finally manifested and she struggled to control them. Fire powers are volitile and hard to control, and after a few mistakes, her initial joy had turned into terror. It took her years to learn how to handle them. When she was 18 she fled the parental house where she felt unseen and unloved for the city where she could learn how to be a police agent. After a few months, in the middle of the night, Kaylee turned up, in tears. She wanted to turn her entire life upside down, which included breaking up with her fiance and leaving school. Supporting her meant Raina broke with her parents, just like her sister did. Her career with the police started out a succes, but after her partner got arrested for working with a vampire clan, she became paranoid.
