Haretz

Haretz came in with the fog that night, and left just as silently the next morning. The village never learned what had been stolen.

Haretz is a fickle wanderer. They will steal anything they can fit into their mouth for consumption, from foodcrops to livestock, even infants and furniture. Haretz does not stay in the same place more than a night or two at most, and rarely returns if at all.

The only place Haretz frequents is the trees their peer Xalexi lives under, bringing them trinkets from their travels. Haretz breaks their distant silence only for Xalexi, exchanging excited, babbling whispers over their adventures to be had.
