Faelen is timid and secretive, shaped by years of distrust and violence from others due to his appearance. He wants desperately to prove his worth to others and eager to please, and quick to risk his own safety for that of another. Yet despite frequent rejections he has learned to try to reign in his search for approval and emotional bonds, and as a result is very lonely and touch starved. He is also easily frustrated, but works hard to keep his anger in check.
Faelen deeply values life. He will risk his own life to save a stranger, and is very uncomfortable with killing another person or creature, though he will if it is necessary. He also believes in the general good of people, and lending a hand to whoever may need it.

Faelen will often fidget with his bone caltrop, resulting in it becoming worn and blunt.
Faelen's fur is very soft and clean, as he has much free time to tend to it.
Faelen is not the best at learning new spells. He practices new spells often, but sometimes they mutate into different spells entirely. Curiously, these unintended spells tend to be of the necrotic sort.
