"Yo, what do you want?"
Like most people, Whip Strike is a pretty simple guy. And like most people, he's also kind of complex.
On the surface, he's a pretty obnoxious little teen. Loud, indignant, stubborn, while the average stranger will find he can be chill, it doesn't take much to get him going. He's overconfident in himself to a fault and a bit irresponsible at the same time, and nothing makes him angrier faster than having his pride be put on the line.
This outward persona masks a petty but overwhelming amount of insecurities, both in himself and his abilities. His repeated failures throughout his life have left him trying desperately to prove himself, and a lack of any kind of real authority means he has a tentative understanding of how to improve himself, at best. He's also 14, and yet still has been supporting himself for six years. Thus, a desire for self-reliance has grown very strong within him and isn't easily quelled. Every time he fails to live up to his own expectations, they rise a little higher, and his own self-worth falls a little lower.
Within his confusing ball of self-consciousness and obnoxiousness, however, does lie a core of something positive. He's confident in himself, beyond anything his doubts could overtake. And no matter how pushed, he will always have faith in himself and those he cares about. He knows who he is, even if he's not who he wants to be yet. Nothing can shake this, and when he's in the company of people he trusts, it shows. He can be kind, and polite, and caring, and he's not as fragile as his complexion might imply. He has his problems like everyone else, and even though he might be a little off-putting and loud, there's something in him that's worth getting to know.
Don't let those fancy internal details fool you though. Whip is usually pretty lighthearted about everything when he's not being a hot-blooded loudmouth. Despite not being very intelligent, he's been known to make a smart quip here and there, and his snarkiness can keep up with the best at times. Sometimes his jokes are only funny to himself, but he's always the first to break a silence if he's not the one who caused it.
The boy is fond many things you wouldn't expect of him. Though theivery and flying are and always will be his passion, he'a also quite handy in the kitchen. His propensity for knives transslates well in preparing cold foods, and while he's nothing special in the baking department, he's very talented with herbs and spices. As vegetarian, his palatte is varied and sometimes might seem a bit unappetizing to others at first, but he's carnal when it comes to food and doesn't put up with watery flavourless vegetable crap.
He's also taken with fashion to an extent. Though his most comfortable outfit is decidedly not that outstanding, he has a keen eye for colours and patterns and his wardrobe is extensively filled with outfits befitting most situations. Itcs just as well, as Whip was blessed with both a particularly androgynous body and the will to be a transvestite. He incorporates this well into his chosen career, regularly playing The Vixen in whatever scheme he and his airship crew devise to swindle valuables from their given targets. He's quite the actor, to the point where it's actually very clearly not an act.
Another of his hobbies includes physical exercise, specifically ones revolving around flexibility and body-mind coordination. He is a regular practitioner of gymnastics, yoga, and many aerobic workouts. He's also shown an interest in acrobatics and free-running, though those kinds of things came very easily to him. He's a lithe theif at heart; having complete mastery over how his body moves is only a natural interest for him.
In regards to romance, he doesn't. Romance, that is.Though he has displayed interest in having an eventual family in the far distant future, his sexuality could easily be described as "single target". Neither women nor men capture his interest based on gender alone, though rarely there will be a special someone that catches his eye, after which no one else will do. That said, this has really only ever happened once, and he is still afflicted to this very day. Mostly, though, he pays no heed to the idea of companionship. He's young and has a single-track mind. There simply isn't space in his tiny attention span to fit love into.
Overall, he's a complicated and simple person wrapped up in one young and reckless bun. His life came together well after it fell apart. He lost his home, his family, and the life he wasn't allowed to begin in the first place, but through force of will and a little moral leniency when it came to other people's posessions, he built himself back up. There are things he might not ever atone for, and problems he may never be able to face, but he likes to think that he's done pretty well for himself, and he even lives in an airship. There's not much more he could really ask for.
Beaides other people's money and treasures, of course.

Whip's ears are massive, reaching to about his thighs in a lopped-around manner. He also has brown patches around his eyes and a brown stripe running down his back, as well as a blue tattoo-like marking on his chest in the shape of a hollow rhombus. He has a small tuft of a tail, usually obscured by his jeans. |

Whip has two distinct styles he trends towards. For comfort and when he's going to be "working", he prefers loose pants and sandals, and doesn't typically wear shirts unless needed. In that case, he likes light and loose tops as well, typically tank or crop tops. His other distinctive style involves cross-dressing, wearing a wide assortment of gowns, skirts, Crops with sleeves, heels, lace sandals, and the like. When cross-dressing, he prefers to stay modest, though if he's doing it to infiltrate for a job, then he can make exceptions. In all cases, he wears bandages around his legs that go up to his waist, typically to keep his sandals steady for his active lifestyle. He's also very fond of accessories, like jewlery, adornments for the hair, sashes, ribbons, etx. And is typically seen with a thick golden necklace on his person. He is also specifically fond of a pair of goggles that he owns, which he wears as a headpiece in his typical outfit. |

Whip is forthcoming in conversation, just saying what he thinks wothout much consideration for the recipient. He'll lie, sure, but he won't hold anything back otherwise. He's also rather dismissive, especially when on a hunt for treasure, and often times blows off any non-critical personnel. In the company of his absolute closest friends, however, he can be a lot softer and considerate, though this isn't due to him holding back, rather because he has nothing ruse or abrasive to say to those people. |

Whip's history brings us back to the edgier side of his personality. He was born to Viva Strike, his mother, and Coal Zerker, his person-who-also-contributed-to-his-birth. Though he was the first child in his family(as far as he knows), he was very quickly followed up by four younger sisters. All throughout his early childhood, his father was a prat and his mother, loving though ultimately sickly and weak. She passed when he was young, and her death had a serious toll on the stability of their family. Not a year later, Whip spoke out against his father and was brutally punished for it. He would have sustained serious injuries from his father's outrage had it not been for Sugar, who broke her quiet subservience to the horrible father and defended him. The consequences to this were severe, and unable to stand his father any longer, Whip escaped from his home, though not before watching Sugar recieve the punishment that should have been his. The rest of his childhood was spent essentially raising himself. Eight years old and with no guidance in his life, he quickly learned the ins and outs of manipulating people and took to the life of petty crimes easily. Living alone never quite broke him though, as he was determined to build himself to be so much better than the father he refused to think of. Along the way, he somehow made many friends, and in a shock to him, his sisters eventually found him as well. He was lucky, for certain. |
