Whip's Links
Whip's younger step-sister.
There are few people in the world that he cares for more than her. The two get along swimmingly, and they coalesce well as a team.
Whip holds a lot of guilt in regards to her, feeling that the wounds she suffered on her ears were directly his fault. He sometimes tries to overcompensate for this by giving her extra attention, but it doesn't usually help.
Sugar's elder step-brother.
The two are on excellent terms and tend to travel and treasure hunt together across the skies in his airship.
She harbours feelings for him, though even she is confused what kind of affection it is. He is unrecipricative, and in fact entirely unaware, which suits her just fine.
Whip's mother. Though he was about sevenish when she passed away, he retains very little memory of her, mostly due to repression. As a child, he cared about her more than anything else, and her passing was a large part of why he eventually left his father to live on his own despite his age.
On some level, he blames himself for her death.
Viva's son. The eldest of her two children, and eldest of the five children total she tried to raise before her passing.
She regarded him with much care and love. In her sickness, her biggest regret was not being well enough to give him a better life.
Whip's biological father.
He hates him.
Coal's second-eldest son.
Though he never cared much for the kid, and indeed ended his relationship with Viva the first time mostly due to his conception, after both Ivory and Viva had passed before his eyes, he expended energy trying to raise the runt in a half-hearted attempt to give his own life some legacy.
He failed.
Whip's younger half-sister.
His relationship with her is a bit shaky. He cares about her as much as any of his sisters, but his latent guilt for abandoning his sisters with his father never manifest more prominently than with her, the one who would not forgive.
That aside, the two don't share many interests either, and thus, it's difficult for him to try and bond with her, further burying their relationship in a hole.
Swii's second-eldest half-brother and the eldest she ever learns of.
Her memories of him as a child are foggy, as they only grew up together until she was about five, but the stories her father spewed about him after he'd left still ring in her ears. Try as she might to be stoic, one of the few things that pierces her is how betrayed she feels towards her brother.
She might never forgive him for it, not completely.
Whip's younger half-sister.
The two bond well over physical activities like dance and gymnastics, and overall act more or less like close sibilings. She is, perhaps, the only of his sisters that does not fill him with regret. She is far too cheerful for that.
Tii's second-eldest half-brother, and eldest that she ever learns about.
She appreciates him far more than her twin does, finding his demeanor and accomplishments to be inspiring. She is not, of course, above taking pot shots at his ego whenever the shot is available, but it's usually in good fun.
Whip's youngest --and only biological-- sister.
She drives him nuts, but she's cool. He kind of wishes she'd stop trying to shape him into a "perfect older brother", but he appreciates that she can be fun when she needs to be.
Mars' second-oldest --and only biological-- brother.
She was far too young to remember him as a child, so most of her opinion of him formed from the scintillating tales their father told about him after he ran. Luckily for Whip, Mars never for a moment believed anything she was told, and instead had grandeurs about her amazing older brother who stood for what was right and defied their authortarative father.
Though greatly disappointed by the reality, she nevertheless took it upon herself to instead mold him into this role, despite she herself only being 10.
He finds it maddening, but she must persist.
Whip is entirely unaware of Sunny's existence, though he has once been affected by the god. It resulted in an alternate universe in which he defended Sugar instead of running away as a child, though it...
didn't end well.
Sunny mostly kept his distance after that.
One of Sunny's charges. Quite Frankly, Sunny doesn't have to do much to keep Whip the Rabbit on track. Dude's a silly, but he hasn't quite /murdered/ yet, so Sunny mostly just lets him go on.
He's happy to know that he would look pretty cute as a bunny though.
Anna is kind of cool to Whip. It's not often someone stokes his ego quite like her. Most people just kind of bark at him for being a thieving pest, but Anna seemed starstruck by his glamerous occupation.
She's on his good list. Keep it up and you might be a treasure hunter one day too, kid.
Oh my god.
It's a bunny.
It's a really big bunny.
It must be hugged.
Geesh lady, calm down! All he did was try to pickpocket you, and you go off on him like he violated and defiled you to the utmost degree!
Needless to say, their first meeting could have gone better. As a vegetarian, he can't put up with the high levels of ham Zankh doles out, and quite frankly, he could do without her chewing all that scenery he's standing in. It's just as well; even if they WERE friends, she has such gaudy taste in accessories he'd probably not be able to help himself from stealing them anyways. Like that crown. He'd take another ye olde english rant for that crown.
