About
The top assassin for the secretive Solaris Organization, Kye is a deadly, one-armed fighter who will stop at nothing to fulfill their orders. Like most Rakan breed artificials, Kye is svelt and quick on their feet, vicious and perfect for dexterity-based brawling. They're famous in the underworld for being the favorite pet of the CEO of Solaris, Kajur, with a perfect track record of successful kills.
Kye fights with multiple curved swords that are controlled with a cybernetic implant; their main sword is named Quicksilver.
Story
A custom-ordered artificial of the best pedigree, Kye was taken in by the Solaris CEO the moment they could walk. Kajur personally trained Kye along with 9 other kids to become their personal bodyguards and assassins. Kye's lightning-fast reflexes and steely determination quickly won Kajur's favor, and gained Kye the handle Mercury, as the planet closest to the Sun.
But one night on a vital mission, Kye is faced with a rowdy, sensual pirate by the name of Rilu, who starts flirting admist the fighting. What starts out as a dangerous game quickly evolves into something deeper, something surprisingly tender. Having never known this kind of double-sided chemistry before, Kye starts straying from their tunnel-visioned goals, falling head-first down a path with no return.

Strengths
- Kye is extremely cool under pressure, being almost robotic when on high alert (which is practically always). Their leadership qualities shine brightly in situations like these, since they can take charge and react quickly in dire circumstances.
- Although it might seem surprising given the nature of their lifestyle, Kye is incredibly loyal. Their sense of loyalty is highly unpredictable however, and Kye doesn't understand their own logic behind it. People either gain it or they don't, it's entirely instinctual.
- Their fast reflexes are nearly unparalleled, and isn't restricted to physical activities either. Kye can't plan for others, but can get themself out of any sticky situation in a matter of seconds.
- Kye is very determined, and will work doggedly until their goals are reached-- often at their own detriment.
- Against most expectations, Kye is actually a very exciting person to be around. They know every nook and cranny of the city, and love to seek thrills. Behind the cold expression is actually a fun-loving kid who craves adventure.
Weaknesses
- When Kye has found a new favorite toy, they tend to get jealous easily. They're so used to getting the things they want, they become very childish when something comes between them and their object of affection.
- Because of their upbringing, Kye is emotionally stunted and not in touch with their own needs and emotions. Although they understand the way the world works, they're very naive about themself.
- Despite their stoic coldness and seemingly unfeeling nature, Kye is emotionally volatile. This is partly due to their complete lack of experience with deeper feelings, and partly due to how coddled and stunted they've become due to Kajur's pet-like spoiling. When Kye is faced with situations that take them out of their emotional comfort zone-- which is a lot-- they can explode and become almost feral.
- Kye isn't competitive in a healthy way-- they don't use it to better themself, and it's something that purely manifests when they dislike someone. It can get the better of them, resulting in aggression or envy.
Trivia
- Kye's left arm was mangled during a high risk mission when they were 16. Upon suceeding in their kill, they had to have the arm amputated to the shoulder. Although they've changed their lifestyle to accomadate their disability, Kye developed a minor addiction to heavy pain killers and relaxing drugs.
- Their addiction to drugs has decreased in the past year, but is still a problem. Kye sometimes overdoses when they're not feeling mentally healthy after an assassination, and doesn't see sobriety as a priority in their lifestyle. Because Kajur ignores the mental health of their artificials, Kye's addiction is largely being monitored by Sei'Zin, one of the younger assassins who specializes as a medic.
- Kye and Sei'Zin actually have an on-and-off relationship. Sei is far from Kye's typical type, but they got close during Kye's recovery and therapy, as Sei was their main caretaker at the time. Kye can be rather disconnected to their own feelings and they're not a proud person, but their gravitation away from Sei has a lot to do with the sense of pity and sense of possessive entitlement Sei started to develop.
- Kye plays a lot of puzzle and twitch-reaction games on their mobile device. Kajur originally introduced it to train their reflexes, but it quickly became an idle habit of Kye's. Although they're constantly aiming for higher scores, it's not exactly an adrenaline boost-- it's a hobby that calms them or helps them zone out.
- Even though they know lots of places to go have fun, Kye is far from a foodie. Raised on a strict diet regimen, Kye isn't used to indulgent types of food, and is shocked when they eat things with a lot of flavor.

- Kye has a very thin but sinewy body, every muscle is trained and stretched to give them maximum mobility and strength.
- Their shoulders are wider than their hips, a classic skinny triangle. This body structure is common among Rakan breed artificials.
- Due to training every day, Kye's muscles are all very defined-- six pack, cut triceps, etc. A lot of the training is purely for aesthetic reasons though, since their owner, Kajur, likes their artificials looking sleek and ready to be showed off.

- Kye has a cybernetic implant that allows them to control multiple floating swords. It was a style they developed after losing their left arm, and has become a signature of the assassin Mercury.
- Their eyes also have implants in them, giving them the ability to see in the dark, follow heat signatures, and limited xray for detecting hidden weapons.
- With the help of their hi-tech boots, Kye is also a master of climbing walls and ceilings.
