Appearance

Human form: Gualtiero in life was swarthy, whip-thin and tall, with a long nose and a narrow, clever face. He had long black hair, straight, and kept in a bun or braid, and piercing black eyes with long lashes.

Puppet form: In his possessed puppet form, Gualtiero has the general look of some kind of theme park mascot chimera. Approximately four feet tall, he has a long, thick, striped tail which narrows to a point and is tipped with a spade, and a pair of large, batlike ears, as well as a pair of cute demonic horns. He has a cartoony zipper down his chest, and big, exaggerated painted on red cheeks.

◈ Everyday:Gualtiero wears a bowtie and gloves that are not a part of his plush body.

Religion

Tiro was raised in the Catholic church, but has nothing but disdain for its believers, its clergy, and its god. An attitude only amplified in death, when he took his position as a demon in hell.

Politics

Gualtiero had no time for politics in life, and now only reluctantly plays the political games in hell. He considers all politicians and systems of government to be equally corrupt and self-serving.

Gender & Sexuality

A depraved and lecherous pansexual, Gualtiero shouldn’t be left alone with your wife, your brother, or the beloved family dog. He considers himself irresistibly charming, seductive and flirtatious, but isn’t above, to put it delicately, pressing his suit.

While confident in his own masculinity, Gualtiero has no problem dressing, or acting the part of a woman in any circumstances, which he once used to his advantage on the stage.

Early History

Gualtiero was an orphan, raised by the church until age 12, at which point he ran away after a particularly savage beating from a nun attempting to ‘beat the devil out of him’. He lived on the streets of Rome for some time until he joined a troupe of actors, who were also thieves, and began his career on the stage.

Adult Life

Taking to the stage like a fish to water, Gualtiero made a name for himself among theatre goers as a heartbreaker and a villain, both on stage and off. He reveled in the attention as a minor celebrity and often briefly courted and took up with his admirers until he grew bored of each. While this was known and whispered about in local gossip, what was not known was that Gualtiero was also moonlighting as a serial killer stalking the streets of Italy in shadow and costume.

Gautiero’s ego became increasingly enormous during this time and he soared into a charismatic mania at the same time that the authorities began to get closer to uncovering his crimes. He convinced his troupe to travel with him on a massive tour of Europe, which was partially used as cover for a series of inadvisably public heists perpetrated on wealthy nobles and merchants, as well as a few more murders here and there. Fame and infamy grew hand in hand, until it finally was his undoing. In Spain, he was assaulted on stage by the cousin of a young lady with whom he’d had a brief affair before burgling her manor. The two crossed swords on stage, and the villain--Gualtiero-- died to the sound of thunderous applause.

After Death

Awakening in hell, to an audience with the devil himself, Gualtiero refused to let his infamy die with his body, and swore, much to the Adversary’s amusement, to become the most cursed name in hell. Endearing himself with pride that reminded the Devil of himself in his younger days, Gualtiero had granted to him a puppet body which could be used to return to Earth on a more permanent basis than other demons. Gualtiero spends his time avoiding the petty politicking in hell, instead, once again making a name for himself on the ‘stage’ of mortals, tempting, seducing, and causing mischief.

Setting

Special Abilities & Circumstances

Gualtiero possesses the body of a cloth puppet which he is able to inhabit semi-permanently on earth and use as if he were a living being. He is able to possess any human or animal who is susceptible to his wiles, to speak any language and play adeptly any musical instrument, and to transform or produce objects by alchemy. He is able to change his puppet body into his own human body for three hours out of every day, between the hours of sunset and dawn. .
